I love the "war time tip"! my grandmother used to tell me women would tint their legs with tea or coffee and trace a crayon line behind her calves during WW2 to prentend they were wearing tights. I love how human being would be so inventive to keep their dignity during the worst times.

I don't know how Lisa does it, but when she talks about cosmetics and skincare products, it never comes across as 'superficial' or 'vain', but more like an artist talking about her craft and tools of trade. Which I think, is exactly what it is. Love ❤️❤️

In our household it’s the lone male who doesn’t read instructions, doesn’t ask for directions if lost (pre smartphone days) or bother to read clothes tags for laundry directions!! Hope you enjoyed your coffee with friends. Perfect makeup for it!

Well Lisa, I must say I really admire your persistence by washing your face and doing the makeup all over again when you actually have an event that day. I would have just gone to my meeting and filmed again the next day.

I love how her approach to make-up results in a very understated, delicate and elegant look. Other make-up artists should take a cue from her. Been following Lisa for years - she has always kept her tutorials fresh, practical, and classy.

Speaking of a long-lasting lip: I've been wearing Velvet Morning this summer, and when applied sheerly its perfection! Withstand my dewy upper lip and my face mask.

A minor thing in the entirety of your video, but I’m so glad you put on sun screen. I see so many tutorials where they skip it entirely or only do it when it’s very sunny outside and it just makes me cringe for their skin.

I find my self lost in Lisa's videos, especially during this time. Like a little holiday from my head and from my troubling thoughts. It is like meditation. Soothing, healing and comforting. A true an artist at work. Thank you beautiful Lisa.

I haven’t watched a makeup tutorial for months - and after this, suddenly remembered why I started watching them in the first place: not for the products but for the skill. I can’t think of another makeup artist who does more with less. A sheer joy to watch: from the application of foundation with fingers to setting your face with cornflour, the deftness of Lisa’s movements, the subtlety of the application. The lack of pretension and fanfare... ahhhh. Such a relief from the grey dreariness of our semi-existence during COVID lockdowns (in Australia in winter).

Lisa, you are an amazing! Especially when doing this “old school” tips with kitchen staff 👯‍♀️Just adore you, your beauty, charm and simplicity❤️

I love that you seem to be using a mirror that’s broken off of a palette, I do the same thing! It’s fun to think we have something in common in the makeup department!

@@mariajoaoprimo7218 same. I am young but I have a lot of eyelid skin and too little space (kind of nearly-hooded eyes) so my eyelid are naturally a bit wrinkly. my skin doesn't sit 'tight' over my eyeball/browbone etc.

People seem to always say not to put blush on the front of cheeks but in the summer I only put just the tiniest bit of a pink or a red there then a dab on the nose - just like when I get some sun. It's like she says here it looks like a natural flush. Love you Lisa from me, the fireflies, cicadas, and the frogs at dusk in Alabama :)

I just love watching you apply makeup, you use such a light touch and end up looking so incredibly gorgeous !

- As long as people wear their masks and social distances there is so much hope! Deaths in NY went from 800/day to under 20. Look is what is happening in rest of the US that didn’t wait to flatten the curve before opening. I pray that your country will do it all well. I love these at home videos. They seem less formal than the white back ground videos when we weren’t all stuck at home. You seem happier and the videos feel more personal. The makeup is obviously great no matter where you film but these vids are wonderful!

When you used that cornflour... I remember how we used to melt clear hard candy on damp hands and use it to hold a hairdo, about 25 yrs ago... Because it's cheaper and safer than aerosol.
