I'm old enough to be your mom, but you may get a smile out of my story. I remember when I first purchased Chanel make-up sometime in the late seventies or very early 80. I was working in Manhattan and my make-up loving friend called me and said "you have to get over to Saks, they have a whole counter with all new make-up by Chanel and the foundation is amazing." Needless to say, I ran over on my lunch hour and bought almost everything. The foundation came with a giant sponge that was long before beauty blender existed. It was the only brand I wore for years and to this day, still use almost something in every category. If I had to just pick two things though it would be the BB Cream and Espresso eyeliner.

I’m usually 30 beige in all Chanel foundations but for some reason 30 beige in CC cream it’s very pinkish on my skin. My skin is neutral slightly warm. And 40 beige CC work better on my skin tone it’s a warmer tone than 30 which is slightly pink/cool in my opinion. Great video as usual ❤️🙏🏼

Vitalumiere Aqua was one of my favourite foundations for years! I need to pick up a new one 😍😍

Such a beautiful look! I've been using the Blanc de Chanel primer for years. Also the Rose Initiale blush is my favourite. I'm still hanging on to the Tan de Soleil for dear life. It's lasted for years but there's hardly any left. I'm on the hunt for a new cream bronzer....

How funny I was just at the Chanel counter in Nashville and picked up another shade of Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue. That is one of my favorite Chanel products and I now own 8 shades and still want more! My first ever Chanel makeup purchase was an eyeshadow quad, and they are still my faves. I prefer a light natural look and these are so effortless for an elegant everyday eye and never overdone. Unfortunately the foundations are hard for me to find the right shade in although I enjoy the formulas. The 30 always look a bit light and the 40 is way too dark. I have had to purchase 2 shades to blend and I can never finish them before they expire. Anyway great video and gorgeous finished look! I love the recommendations on some new classic items to try!

I have to try the tisse rivoli eyeshadow quad and I love the Ultra le Teint foundation, plus the les beige soleil tan deep bronze is my favorite cream bronzer. Super happy Chanel finally made a second color, hoping they create a 3rd.

The Vitalumiere aqua was actually my first foundation from Chanel. I really loved it. Then I discovered their Velvet one & it was my new favorite. These days I switched from a more matte finish to something more luminous. I recently tried the new N1 de Chanel and it's now on the top of my wishlist. I tried a few of their eyeliners and didn't like them. The shades are beautiful, but they were so hard that I really couldn't get them to go on? This was quite a while ago.

They reformulated the eyeliners I believe and changed up the colors. You may want to check to see if they are anything you are interested in. I believe they did that after they did the blushes. Edit that is the information I understand, please check with a chanel representative. Have a great day.

I did not know the Chanel makeup counter you worked was at the Green Hills Mall in Nashville. Was Tonya Jovanov there then? She is my Chanel SA in handbags, shoes, etc. and she is the best! My daughter and her family live there, actually they live in Franklin but my Son-in-Law works at First Tennessee Bank downtown. I enjoyed today's video and going with some old Chanel Classics was great! Some of my favorites! You just can't beat some of them! Thank you for sharing them with us!

Just purchased my 1st Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks Gabrielle and Adrianne last week. Love the feel super smooth and creamy texture will purchase more in the future.

Wow intrigued by the Rivoli eyeshadow. I purchased a quad last year just to spend money and it's mauve with a coral shade which is a shade that I rarely use... And now I can't find it. Time to try out the rivoli!

I agree! I tried soo many different brands and wasn’t happy. But then I tried Chanel and I’m still using their products 12 years later :) the price doesn’t matter if it works for me and I don’t wear makeup every single day either.

years ago I had a friend who was the Chanel person at the local Nordies, and she would always call me when the national make up experts were at the store so I could get a professional make up session. Back then my favorite Chanel item was a quad palette called "Les Fauves" I think, loved that palette.

Chanel "wouldn't dare" change the powder formula. Oh yes, they would! The bronzer, the blushes...nothing is sacred! Love it while you can. I do love the CC cream but honestly think its the most highly scented of any Chanel product and I just can't wear it, its just overwhelming so close to the nose!

Don't use anything else since trying out the cc cream. Covers naturally, hides dry spots and has skincare in it. Perfect

looking forward to a full face of tom ford, his foundations are highly regarded, specifically the spf 50 one which Im intrigued by but never tried. His stick foundation I already have but havent reached for in a while.

That's so funny I used eyeshadow as highlight back in the day when highlighter didn't exist I thought it was just me that did that. That jersey blush is so pretty to bad it's not the same formula anymore or I would buy it. The look you did was so pretty.

New to your channel, but am really interested in a couple pieces from Chanel! Do you ever make recommendations for 50+ faces? I like a light coverage and not too much makeup, but i wolds love to find a great primer… one that could be Glowy and help produce fine lines, and wrinkles? Any advice at all and, do you think it would be a good idea to go to a Chanel counter?

This is probably unpopular opinion but I am a huge fan of their original wooden brow pencil. I have a hennaed hair and the brown shade is just perfect. And I love how waxy and soft it is.

For a questions episode: were you required to use all Chanel skincare and makeup while working there? How about clothing and accessories? If so, did you have to pay out of pocket? Any idea why Chanel is not carried at Sephora in Canada?
