Very helpful thanks! My battery became a spicy pillow but replacing it was easy with this guide. Did wind up with two spare screws but that’s on me.

I would suggest to get a battery replacement as soon as possible. I haven't tried using the laptop without a battery though. But I would imagine that if someone tripped on the ac adapter, whatever you're working on will be lost.

@@jasperquidilla6912 Yes makes sense. I read on Reddit about people using it without so if i don't move it should work for the waiting time of the battery. I have the AC behind the desk on the wall so no risk of someone going over the cable. Wanted to ask as well if the battery replacement was from a third party site or if there is an official retailer for it. Thanks again ^^ (I'm EU if that may help)

You're welcome. It's always my hope that this video also helps other users having the same problem as I have. As for the SSD installation. Yes I actually did, so as swapping the fans of this laptop. The only thing that I have not yet done is replacing the thermal grease. But installation of the extra SSD requires patience as you need to remove the entire motherboard as the slot is located on the other side. Is it easy/simple, for me it was, but it might not be someone else. Hope this helps!

Hi, today finally i tried replacing the battery after using it 3 months without. When i tried using the PC, i noticed two things: when putting to charge the computer, there was a noise coming out from it while charging. Also the battery wasn't really working, using it on charge the laptop recognized it but saying it was fully charged and charging, so i tried to close the laptop, open it without cable plugged it but it didn't work. Do you have any clue or did it happen to you as well? Thanks

So my old battery was bulging and i ordered a replacement with the same BTY-M6L model number. Even thought it's the same model number the new battery was not getting properly fit and i have to cut some part near the screw holes to make it fit. But after connecting the battery my laptop just not power on even though charging led is ON. I removed the battery and worst thing is now the laptop is not turning on even on AC power. Earlier i was able to use it directly without battery but now it's not working either way. Did i just fucked up my motherboard? any fix?
