To be honest, I don't like superhero movies , and am not fond of what Hollywood mass-produces these days. But every rule has an exception, and I really enjoyed this one. I still re-watch it from time to time.

This movie is an absolute masterpiece. You have the top tier actors, mind blowing cinematography, and that musical score that is beyond amazing. Very rare that I get moved emotionally by comic book superhero movies but this one gets you in the feels various times throughout the movie. I grew up a Superman 1978 fan and I never thought there would be a better Superman movie and we got one in this movie.

I actually find Zod pretty intimidating. His right-hand girl is a badass.

Zod is amazing. And Faora is one of my favourite superhero villains. Cool, deadly, sexy, interesting, with some of the best fight scenes in the whole movie.

@@Flix2Us thje worst part of the review is it was WRITTEN and SCREENPLAYED by NOLAN that is how DC got it's boost. I love DC for Comics and Animation but movies after Reeves only person who made the storytelling was NOLAN.

I grew up watching Christopher Reeves embody the character so perfectly. No one else could hold a flame next to him, then I saw this in the theater. At the point in the artic right before he launches off with how they showed the ground vibrating from his power and force. Coupled with the swell of the music from Hans Zimmer just broke me. Cavill's acting is right on par with Reeves and a good successor to the cape and tights. And once again, thank you for an awesome review. Also you totally rock on the editing of the video's with them coming off so seamlessly. Be safe out there.

There's also blu ray special feature videos of this movie that talks about the ideas & concept behind the world building of Snyder's Krypton. It involves the planet itself, the star called Rao, the creatures, the ecosystem, the ships & weapons, their dress code, their culture, their language system (the actors were supposed to speak Kryptonian but scrapped the idea) seen in the backgrounds & their Liquid Geo display systems....all these from a perspective of Star Labs research who intercepted the anomalous signals between the scout ship & Zod's black zero ship & decoded parts of its signals.

Saw this movie in theatres and thought it was the greatest thing I’ve seen. Glad y’all reviewed this film. Also enjoyed his DC films 🤙🏼

Throughout the whole time watching this I was like, your mom is so well informed on pop culture and fiction movies. She was able to connect stuff and make references that tie in to the story. I was impressed and it was a great reaction/watch overall. Despite what some say on Twitter, Man Of Steel is my favorite DC film and watching you guys watch it reminded me why all over again.

I love this movie too. When I was a kid in the '60s Martha and Johnathan Clark were nearly an elderly married couple. well past middle age. They explained having adopted Clark from her out-of-state relatives who died in an accident and the boy needed a home. Or something to that effect. Johnathan did die of a heart attack while Clark was still young. I didn't understand why Snyder wasn't faithful to part of the origin story. Ah...upon further thought, Martha would have been dead or too frail to play any fundamental role in subsequent films with Clark entering his early 30s. Stay safe...be well...

Again Zack Snyder did not write the script, Christopher Nolan and Goyer wrote the script and Zack Snyder as he always does stays to the script and executed the scene that was in the script. Not sure why people keep blaming Zack and also why criticize another writers vision and fresh take ? Should Zod have also preceded to conquer planet Houston? The scene serves a very important point in the movie. If it’s just a heart attack then Clark would feel there was nothing he could do since it was from a health perspective, while dying in the eye of a Tornado would hurt more and hurt for a longer period of time since there was something he could have done.

It's funny, there's at least three actors in the film that appeared in the series Smallville, about a young Clark Kent from a from a high school freshman up to becoming Superman - essentially, Superboy, but without the tights. Amy Adams as a villain of the week, one of the many, many people affected by the meteor shower (kryptonite) that fell when Clark arrived; one the scientists/officers at the arctic working at the computer, played by Alessandro Juliani, used to play Dr. Emil Hamilton - who, in Man of Steel, is played by Richard Schiff; actor Mackenzie Gray, who stars as Zod's scientist looking that finds the codex in Clark's DNA, Dax-Ur, had played a poorly made clone of Lex Luthor that aged and died too fast.

I am pretty sure this movie killed the rest of the DCU. It set the mark too high and as you said, they rushed the rest of the movies. This one did for Superman the same that Nolan's first part did for Batman. Great video as always guys!

What killed the DCEU was there was no intention in the beginning to make one, it was a journalist that coined the DCEU term and the publics expectations that they would be as smart and competent as Marvel that killed anything.

The script were written in 2009 by David S Goyer with Christopher Nolan, the ideas is using post crisis earth 1 superman as a basis of a new superman trilogy. Nolan always prefer realistic takes on superhero while David s goyer prefer serious with sci-fi element. They never plans to make this movie as universe like marvel Nolan as producer interview 13 directors to direct Man of Steel. Henry Cavill has been dubbed the King of Nerds buy the rest of us lol. Also great reaction and Discussion i loved the Man of Steel i looove Superman and while yes Superman Does NOT kill unless its a universe ending threat you could say that had he not done that Zod would of been that threat and while yes it destroyed Kal to have to kill the last of his people he was left with no choice. thats how i defend that scene. having watched Smallville and other superman related materials i was upset by the way that they chose to end Pa Kent's life was just not right, i get what they were going for but could of had the same impact say if Zod or one of the others had done it. either way fantastic movie

all the marvel kids wanna complain that DC shouldve done Solo movies for all the included heroes in the Justice League before the movie . These heroes were hiding ? what'd the movie be about ? nah , we got the intro, the heroes journey, the self realization and coming into the light and acceptance within that JL movie we got . You dont need 10 movies to drag out a story that can be told in 3 movies.

Christopher Nolan pointed WB to Zack Snyder he wanted longer movies and when they were making justice league WB wanted a 2 hour long movie but Zack said it isn't possible with all those new characters. Zack Snyders daughter committed suicide during that period. and the studio had enough of Snyder, so they let him go for Josh Whedon and we got the horrible joshtice league from 2017.. but thanks to the fans we still got the Zack Snyder justice league years and years later... rip autumn !! Ps.: the actress playing Russel crowes wife is the actress who plays kingpins wife/girlfriend in the Netflix daredevil show.

Great reaction, guys! I would say that Superman does kill Zod and other two kryptonians in the comics. And has killed others, but it is like the last resort usually. He is nit Batman with the no killing rule, and even Batman has killed so it is more like a "no murdering" rule than just killing or letting others die. And the Jonathan thing well, here still makes him go and explore the world trying to find a purpose and become Superman. When the tornado happens, he is yooung and hasn't explored his powers. He might not even know he has super speed. And again, he respects his father's wishes and gives him a lesson about doing what you belive is right for others. Sacrifice for your loved ones' safety. Can't wait for BvS UE and ZSJL!

I disagree with the statement that Zack Snyder made a mistake in having Pa Kent die in a Tornado. Zack Snyder did not have anything to do with that choice, the script was written by Goyer and Christopher Nolan. All Zack did was follow the script. He takes a lot of unjustified criticism for that decision but I don’t have any issues with it. Tornados in Kansas are a frequent occurrence, hence The Wizard of Oz also having that scenario happening to Dorothy. Also this scene is significant because it shows the viewing audience just how much Jonathan Kent loved and wanted to protect young Clark, even willing to die for him. He knew if the government would take Clark away to study him and figure out how they could weaponize the child. Which means he would be studied, probed, among many other bad things humans are known for. The death also tells us how Superman must feel that his earth father died so that he could be safe and grow to be a man who loves earth and mankind.

Mr Jonathan must to be have 56 years old when he die, really never 46

2:18 Superman and Lois is awful, or at least..... meh. Superman/Clark is good, it's a really solid portrayal of how Superman/Clark should be, but Lois is pretty annoying, the actor who plays their one curly headed son can't act (man he's bad), that frumpy emo girl from 13 reason why is terrible. Lana and her husband offer nothing, Lex and his daughter are, alright. The story is bland, with some bad CGI (albeit better than other CW shows). It's better than the other Arrowverse shows, but that isn't saying much. As for the Snyderverse, well Snyder is the reason the DCEU has been such an abject failure. He didn't understand Superman or any of the DC characters, and neither did the producers/executives at WB's. Snyderverse needs to stay dead. Snyder can have another shot, but starting from scratch. RestoreHenryCavilSuperman would be a much better hashtag.
