I would recommend watching what is known as “The Ultimate Edition” of the sequel “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice”. It’s 30 minutes longer than the theatrical and that 30 minutes does some incredible heavy lifting. Really made the movie a lot better

AGREED. This film did not disappoint,not at all.Made me feel HOPEFUL at the end.I had no issues with this movie,SOLID film.

This movie is one of my all time favorites. Thank you for your great reaction. I also really love the sci fi elements and sense of realism throughout the film. Even the action sequences have a particular weight to them, that makes them feel “real”. There is a sequel to the story, Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice. I’m not a fan of it, but if you want to watch it, I suggest the ultimate edition.

MOS had me foaming at the mouth,it's that GOOD. The entire soundtrack is AMAZING !!! I'm listening to it now. What a RUSH !!! Makes me want to leap tall buildings-OOPs-never mind. LOL.

At last, a Superman ,movie that truly showed how difficult it was for Clark growing up, and the parenting that made him the man he became. Johnathan Kent was a damn good man, it's sad he didn't live to see his son's greatness. I loved the closing scene where he's playing in the yard with a "Cape: on, does the superhero pose --Martha and Johnathan look at each other and smile knowingly.

How difficult it was? You mean, the real Superman having best friends, passion for many things and loving parents? Could you tell me two things Clark likes or enjoys in this version? John Kent was a god awful parent in this movie, putting a secret over people's well being. His contradiction hurt Clark the most "This is not the time, son... you'll know the time, I won't teach you or even show you how or why, just I know this it's noy the time... but you'll figure it out somehow".

@@elishawilson5342 Jonathan didn't tell him JUST to be careful, we actually don't watch Clark doing something heroic till his father die. I don't have a problem with Pa Kent being catious about Clark's secret but he shut down his intentions to help. The idea isn't to send Clark to Metropolis since childhood, he HAD to develop properly in Smallville, training and learning to control his power. The movie decided to make him do NOTHING to prepare him for 10 years, wandering around USA.

Prior to release of this movie, there was also a prequel comic book that showcase the events thousands of years before Kal's arrival to Earth. The story is about Kal's distant relative Kara Zor El who is also called Supergirl in comics. She was sent for a mission to find distant habitable planets on Her scout ship which you saw in this movie. Conflicting events happened in the ship that led to crash landing on Antarctica. But in this Snyderverse its not clear what happened to Kara Zor El.

My favorite Superman 🦸‍♂️ movie because its true to the origin story, and the fighting was next level which really captures the heart of Superman.

Finally we see Superman's true abilities,powers and strength put on screen.We see true destruction on a massive scale when superman powered beings CLASH !!! AWESOME. I was truly blown away. LOL. More Superman films,PLEASE ??? I'm begging you,the powers that be.

This movie is a masterpiece it is still imo the best dceu movie to date. Loved it so much bought the special edition Blu-ray with the steel S case first day it went on sale. 😂

Snyder fans really know nothing about film and throws the word “masterpiece” around like nothing hahahaha. This movie is a 7/10, it’s a good movie, far from a masterpiece. It has decent acting, the storytelling and writing ain’t perfect, the score is amazing, the cinematography and camera work is good, a solid movie, not a masterpiece and neither is BvS or Snyder cut. Y’all need to stop. The only comic book movies that could be considered masterpieces is TDK, Logan and Spiderverse, that’s it and there’s plenty of others that are good but that’s it, good.

@@AtlantaGuns I’m a student in filmmaking and I am going to pretend I didn’t just read that you just said that Logan and Spiderverse are crap, I’m just gonna move one and pretend I never read that. 9/10 film critics would have Logan and Spiderverse as two of the best comic book movies so I honestly cringed when I read this. Also, I ain’t just a marvel fanboy because I like DC too, I love TDK, The Batman, Joker, Watchmen the movie and show and V for Vendetta. And like i said I am a student of filmmaking so even tho i love marvel I don’t let my bias for the characters cloud my judgment on films, phase 4 has been pretty disappointing in the movie category. I didn’t said that you said anything about BvS or ZSJL but you said this was a masterpiece and usually Snyder fans call his trilogy a masterpiece so that’s why I said that Snyder fans are crazy while using the term “masterpiece”.

the odd thing about Zod is he is hard to hate -- he was preprogrammed at 'conception' to be a fierce military leader and was raised a soldier that would die defending Krypton. Quite noble if you think about it.

Absolutely, he is less of a villain and more of a focused soldier that would easily sacrifice himself if need be, for the better of his people. He is difficult to deal with, I bet, but he doesn't waver.. The part where he screams at Lara, "I will find him!", you can see pure resolve. I respect that.

Zod was a robot all along, the only "different" side of him was when he claimed to get revenge on Jor-El's son... and he abandoned it when he finds him if Clark joins him. Again, just a robot.

This part didn't make the edit. I'm from Kansas, and saw this in the theater. Not gonna lie, the whole room fell for the cheap pop, and cheered when he said, "I grew up in Kansas, General. I'm about as American as it gets."

I like this movie because Henry Cavill is another great choice to play Superman even though the blue and red colors on the new updated Superman suit are too dark and the cape is way too long while looking more sheet than cape But still, He is perfect for the DCEU, Great reaction Viki.

Zack Snyder's Justice League doesn't have a legit theatrical version...just a sabotaged, mutilated and botched version the studio dared to put out in the theaters.

Man of Steel is a GREAT film,I really enjoyed it. MUCH,more better than Superman Returns,anyone remember that film ??? I still like the original Supes movie,but,this newer,more modern movie BLOWS it out the water for me !!!! This movie takes a lot of un-necessary hate,but,I had a ball with the movie.

Finally Viki watching the DCEU. 😎

it is implied that Zod was able to adapt to his yellow sun abilities quickly because of his genetic predisposition toward combat as a high ranking member of the 'warrior caste' and his extremely strong willpower- if he had even a little more time it is very likely he would have been unbeatable even by Superman! Kryptonians are a real pain in the ass.

I get that, the problem is: Zod is a trained fighter, how does Clark is even a match againts him? He has no real experience fighting. It's like me, trying to fight a drunk soldier, he would whip my ass even being in that state. The movie should've skip the part where Zod goes to the moon and adapts. Let's make a time-situation: Clark has to defeats Zod before he can control his powers, that way you have to reach a goal in a limited time, cause each minute passing, Zod is becoming stonger than Clark.

During the city fight, you may have missed Ben Affleck (the extended version has more) looking up and running, and a scene where a tanker truck with the Wayne Enterprises logo on it. There is also a scene with the logo on a building that gets destroyed. Bruce Wayne was in Metropolis on business, setting up his distrust of Superman for the next movie where he tries to fight Superman.

actually Viky first is Shazam then is Green Lantern then is this one....then is Batman v/s Superman and Wonder woman and then Justice League and Aquaman....love this version of Superman cause they explain everything to you....much more complete....

This movie was ahead of it’s time. When it came out the superhero movie genre was ruled by the less complicated and funny MCU. So when the world watched this Masterpiece they did so with the comedic Marvel style they had been watching so immediately the HATE came because they felt Man of Steel was too violent and there was too much destruction. Then on top of all that Superman kills Zod and that set the stage for the public bashing the film. And the bashing and hating on Zack Snyder became the popular sentiment for all Marvel/MCU/Disney fans. I loved the movie when I first saw it the first day it opened and still love it today. The same hate followed for Batman vs Superman only then the target was now Batman who they bashed for being a so-called murderer killer.

Right, cause TDK was not already out and broke the Marvel formula... This movie was bashed cause Snyder tried do deconstruct a character who is known for many values we don't get to watch here. The same with Batman, Snyder couldn't compromise with the core values of said characters and did his own thing, believing he's better than more talented people who has been writing these heroes for years. You can change the world all you like, making it the worst, but the characters must mantain what make them heroes. A perfect example of what Snyder tried to do but failed is Captain America TWS, Steve Rogers faces a world changing and Fury tells him how wrong he is, but he doesn't retreat. That is what Superman in MoS should've been.

Winter Soldier doesn't really challenge Steve and all the "bad changes" were the work of Magic Nazis trying to sow chaos in the world (and not stuff like bad political decisions and other kinds of socioeconomic factors) so Steve is not actually put up to the task of having to prove that his "old school idealism" is still valid. Also, Steve has killed in his movies and done some downright selfish stuff too. (For the record, I love Captain America in general, but compared to Superman, he's given far more leeway). And stop projecting your shitty views on Snyder's personal character. Your dislike of these movies is not some great reflection of your supposedly "better morality". At no point has he ever acted like he"knows more about the characters" or whatever bullshit you're spewing. Viki wanted to move to U.S. I feel the envy but Viki, you seem to happy as an artist and a dancer. Also, if you do manage to make it to the U.S., I guarantee you, you don’t wanna be in California. Lot of criminals and homeless people. Their politicians don’t allow self defense which resulted in thousands of people if not hundreds to move out of California. It’s just like Gotham.
