Everytime I come back to her channel for some recipes her gentle voice and laugh it makes me tear.😢I could sense her spirit filled with so much love and humility.❤ Just had to love her.🤗🌻

My mother wasn’t very social but one of my aunts was. Her door stood open in Goodwood for anyone to walk in at any time. I would arrive at her house and it was “sit, sit. Eat, eat!” She was the most generous person I knew in those days. Memories…

My granny could cook up a storm. All the container & some of the bowls you have reminds us a lot about my granny. Her door was always open as well & there was always foods.

Wow Fatima.. Listening to ur story reminds me of my childhood.. As i get older ive realized that the generations are changing so much after my mom passed most of our family scattered now its just memories of uncles and aunts friends and cousins dont seem to even be close like the old days.. But u brought me so much comfort il be cooking lentils porkchop and rice today🙂

This dish also reminds me of my late dad, he used to add boiled eggs.

Yummy. Cape Town sky is unique. Where I live in Wellington New Zealand the sky never looks as blue. I think people describe it as cobalt blue. Sunsets and sunrise is never as fantastic and brilliant here as I remember it in Cape Town.
