So happy to hear you are in remission! I too am a Prostate Cancer survivor, I have been in remission for eight years. Fortunately I was having regular blood tests and caught it early, my PSA was 7.6. I had the Proton Therapy sessions at the Procure facility in Warrenville for 45 days, which are completely painless. Yes...ALL men should have a simple blood test at least twice a year to get their psa level checked. Thank you for sharing your story!

What are the symptoms one should watch out for? I'm 50 years old. I haven't done any exams. I went from 0 to 50 with only two knee operations when I was in my mid to late 20's playing street basketball and those are holding on with no big issues. Those two times were the only times I've had to go under the knife. I'm due for a check up but my blood work has been great. I ride 20 miles on bike and try to be consistent. I ran a marathon in late October as well. I know that doesn't tell how healthy I am but just so you know my routines.

Many times there aren't any symptoms until it well it is too late. Best to ask your doctor!
