that part of the gambit where he sacrifice nearly all his pieces to lock the queen out of play for the mate was amazing to see. that some deep prep
I met GM Bellón in 1985, in a tournament played in Ferrol. Incredible creative player. I ever loved his chess!.

Absolutely wild that your dad played Sammy Reshevsky, someone who was in the world elite and probably a top 5 player at the same time as Alekhine and Capablanca!

This was lovely to see. Great relationship between father and daughter.
Eric Rosen mentioned this stream in a recent video of his and spoke highly of it. What a clever opening! Thank you for having your Dad walk through his analysis. I just subscribed and will rewatch this video many many times in hopes that it sinks in lol
Very nice. Most importantly, I love the respect that Anna has for both of her parents. I wish my millennial children were half as interested in listening to me as Anna listens to her mother and father.
Fantastic innovation, Mr. Lopez. I very much enjoy watching you and your daughter analyzing this gambit. I will be trying it out as soon as I get an opportunity.
How lovely!!! You could see how happy and proud she is when she talks about this
Gracias por compartir este bonito gambito!. Un saludo a su creador y a ti por transmitirlo.😀
Congratulations 2 your father for this creation. The last game ending is so nice 👌
So nice to see you doing this analysis in family 😍
At 5:10 the move 11.Ncxd4 is actually really strong for white. The idea relies on Qa4+ followed by Qxe4+. That's why even the eval bar on the video shows white is much better.
Very very instructional! I love your opening videos. The nescaffe one was great as well :)
i really liked the line where he made it almost impossible to move the queenside , almost like alphazero prep but he didnt have it back then i will study the lines, although i dont really get the english on board often
Father and daughter episode is so wholesome😇😊
Awesome gambit very creative! Lichess shows another Bellon Gambit (1.d4,e6 2.c4,f5 3.e4) its referred to as the deferred Staunton gambit elsewhere and is essentially a slightly worse Staunton, does your dad have anything to do with this gambit or has he played it?
Pure Galician tricks … Seriously speaking, GM Bellón López had his best moment between 1972 and 1994 ( ELO 2515) he beat players of the stature of Tal (although Tal beat him several times) Timman, Lubojebic, Larsen, Browne and curiously several times he beat the very tough Ulf Andersson. He had several draws with the world champion A.Karpov, and a more than worthy career for a Hispanic player at that time. All my respect to him GM Bellón López.

I didn't know her dad had defeated such heavy hitters. It's already a huge feat to have become a GM back then, but to be one of such caliber is incredible.

Love the Horns in the background 🎉 nice touch to the Vid.!
Really great gambit
I am rated 1975 in Lichess and like to play tournaments and am admittedly only comfortable in my caro kahn or french defense on black. But the one opening i fear is always C4, i almost always lose to it, but i have tried this opening the past 7 games (one which was a tournament) and won 4 out of 7! Thank you for finally giving me a chance when i face C4, i now have a fighting chance at least.

Hey Anna! Could you please put the pgn? I'd love to study this for my next tournament!
This is just amazing
Nice gambit lesson thanks
Hace poco que te sigo y hoy me entero que eres española. Qué bien, Anna. Me gustan mucho tus videos!
i love pops' style
I generally player f5 against c4 but there are more lines that white can chose from i.e the good lines after 1.d4 and other strong lines with D3 e4. Your mom has been my new mentor as I reviewed many of her games. I might have to try your dad's line. No risk I feel like
That was really a treat. Great family.
Anna sure can be damn proud of having parents like this
Fascinating.
Impressive stuff!
So funny to hear your dad when he switches to Spanish without even realising
Your Dad has developed a lot of interesting ideas in the opening.
It is simply amazing how a top class chess player can calculate so many lines. My brain is overloading by just watching all the different lines🤯
and now anna has also created her own opening the creativebess and talent is oassed on
@AnnaCramling Could you posted and analysis of the game your dad played against Korchnoi???
İt's very interesting when a gm who plays super tactically explains his doscoveries
wow, fantastic! you should write an everyman chess openning book with your knowledge about this openning!
To stop midway during an explanation and say "You didn't like my chicken!" is absolutely hilarious 😂
Nice gambit, looks like Evans Gambit idea
Such a Beautiful smile and personality she has.
Simply .... Wow!
what a cool family :)
29:35 What? You don't believe me? LOL
You said you'll put the PGN in the description! I'd love to study this, do you still have it?
wow fantastic
Her smile is so so beautiful
oh its a great defense cause Black can develope all pieces and white its kind of stuck so must make midle game advantage for black Nice
The spanish tal strikes againg😎
Basman invented opening for white against scicillian.I have played it a few times with plus score
Would love to see some content in Spanish too. Juan unleashed
This great player was 5 times Spain chess champion
Where does the name Bellon Gambit come from?
@AnnaCramling
2 жыл бұрын
From my father’s last name! His name is Juan Bellon :)
Had I only seen the moves, I would have sworn this was an Eric Rosen video.
I don't think people understand how truly amazing it is for a gambit like this to be invented in that time period without a computer. You would just have to stumble upon this move randomly, and for an engine to favour it so much is almost unheard of. Impressive!
Nice parents! Smart parents! Nice daughter! Smart daughter!
You are so lucky!
Favorite time of the game 28:11 Anna speaking Espanol, k linda.
gr8 year!😋
12:21 - why is it a catastrophe? Sure, White is underdeveloped and one pawn short, but nothing threats them immediately it seems. Queen takes Queen, then pawn e3, then bishop B2, then bishop c4, then knight d2 or castling. Not a pleasant game, for sure, but "catastrophe" feels one stretch
Came from eric rosens channel to see this extra nice
How can you do it from 3. g3
Born in 69, I'm English and play the English. I like everything about this.
Nice
Haha i will never play e5 against c4/d4. It's gonna be a solid Kf6, e6 and so on.
this gambit compliments the physically aggressive style of play OTB. if my opponent makes these moves in the manner Bellon-Lopez makes them(quickly and confidently with an almost blasé manner), I would probably crumble and blunder left and right
Is there a lichess study or a pgn ?
Juan is a man of culture who knows: En passant is forced!
Gambit created and played on 1969 and have better central postionn I must try

Brooo he delayed banana breaded with b5, respect has gone up. E4 b5 best opening so I’m glad to see you can do it in English positions
Studying and memorizing openings is one thing.. creating one is entirely different
69 what a year, sad i missed it
Can someone please share a text of this gambit?))
