Incridible how after so many years your father still remember his thought process during the game. Chess players are beasts.

Imagine having Tal as your hero (and rightly so) and then people start calling you “the spanish Tal”… That alone would be enough for me make me happy with my chess career… actually, not just career, my entire life.

See how your dad's eyes shine with enthusiasm, you bring back good memories, you fill him with the sense of importance that he deserves, you remind him of old times when you were a child and he taught you how to play. Anna, you are an example of a person with a big heart.

By reading the title, Im really amazed by what his dad accomplished, but then his dad go on and said prior to this game , tal beat him 0-4. Just shows also how humble the dad is , and reminds me that Tal is still the monster lol

Even better to beat someone after first taking a loss (or more). Amazing.
I cannot believe how I stumbled upon this channel. Your dad is so close to the heart. It's as if he's my own dad... I hope you feature him more. This is so heartwarming.

It's very cool to see a family getting to share a passion like this.
Beautiful game! Tal became a defensive player from the beginning of the game. No counter play from one of the greatest attackers of all time. He must've hated that.
Your dad's memory is insane. The way he recalls the multiple lines he calculated over 40 years ago up to 10 moves deep at 4:17 is crazy
Tu padre nos hizo disfrutar mucho en los 70. Pura creatividad. Cada vez que jugaba 1.b3 u otras lineas poco habituales generaba belleza y energia. Mi admiracion.
My dad is an amateur chess player (he is 73 now and today is his birthday) and he, as a young lawyer, was involved in organization of two big tournaments in my country back in the 80s, with Tal, Korchnoi, Petrosian, Kasparov, Spassky, Timman, Andersson...playing. As an organizer, he (even for brief time) met them all and used to tell me stories about how they were. He told me that Tal was the kindest person ever and a monster only at the chess board - he was genuinely nice and harmless in real life. After his tournament game, Tal used to go to hotel restaurant, eat something, order a bottle or two of wine, take the chessboard and clock out and played blitz and traded jokes with whoever wanted to play (grandmaster or beginner alike) till dawn. Korchnoi and his assistant (who later became his wife) were like prima donnas, very demanding and sometimes unpleasant to deal with, but he told me Korchnoi had very witty, dark sense of humor. Also, during the tournament Korchnoi was also playing a simul against hundred or so players, and one of his opponents tried to cheat. While Korchnoi was away, opponent moved Korchnoi's rook to a different square (favorable for the opponent). When Korchnoi came to the board, he immediately took the rook and threw it in opponent's face :) During one of the tournaments, Kasparov, who was 19 or 20 years old, had a passionate affair with a local girl and, because of it, was so inspired he actually crushed the field with +8 or +9 score. However, the problems started after the tournament was over - Kasparov wanted to stay with the girl (who was an university student or something like that) and didn't want to leave the country, so his mother Clara had to put her foot down :) Of all the players my father disliked Petrosian the most (he told me Petrosian was a, quote, "complete a-hole towards everybody") and liked Swedish gm Andersson the most. They were (and still are) about the same age and my father managed to draw against Andersson in a clock simul. They made friends after that and hung out together quite a lot while the tournament was on. My father always used to say he would get in contact with Ulf if he ever visited Sweden, but so far he didn't have that opportunity...

Imagine being Korchnoi, a great player who never won the world championship. He must have been a guy full of resentment and it must have affected him to have seen how all his contemporaries of the same level achieved it. Petrosian was a KGB agent, and we know how those guys were like.

More pops! Anna, you are in such a unique position. We would love to see you do three series simultaneously, one centering on your father's matches with other famous players, one on your mother and her story as one of the first female grandmasters, and your story about reaching IM of WGM. You would be doing such a service to the world of chess. In only a couple years, you would have quite an archive, a first hand recount of chess spanning almost 100 years.

The reason is that if both opponents are skilled enough, with an extra piece or two, it is simply a matter of time before victory is earned, so it's simply acknowledging the obvious.

Seriously, I love videos featuring your parents :) They are so wholesome, but at the same time, so incredibly dangerous at chess. I am happy the world has seen a clash between those two titans. It was an incredible game! Congratulations :D
This is some of the best chess content I've seen in a while. Love listening to all the side lines and thought process. Very cool video!!
Por favor , más vídeos con tu padre. Además el perfecto acento de tu padre se me hace muy fácil de entenderlo. Yo hablo igual!!! Menudo maestro
It was indeed a beautifull goal or achievement for your dad... and for the chess(database) too. Congrats!!!
Thank you so much, this was legendary, I was always a fan of Tal and Alekhine and your dad lived a moment with one of them, so your dad is a living legend

Your parents are a blessing, Anna. Both of them are GMs. You have the opportunity of getting personalised mentorship from GMs, a privilege most of us don't have!
There's something so wholesome about a daughter sharing her audience with her dad, and letting him re-live more or less his greatest moment.
This was beautiful, please more videos with your father, you can see how different his generation viewed the game and thought about the position because they had to prepare without engines. I am definitely looking forward to the game with Korchnoi and let him go to side lines as much as he would like and maybe talk about the tournament overall, how was his stay and non-chess related info, Subscribed.
Awesome video! Loved listening to your dads thought process and showing why different lines wouldn’t work
This was heartwarming and enjoyable on so many levels. Thanks Anna and congratulations to your dad for this fantastic game!
This series where you bring your GM parents is so educational! I love it!
Brilliant!! Your Father was brilliant and now also at age 72 your father is still brilliant !! . This is the strongness of a Grandmaster.
My uncle and mum were really into chess from my grandfather. This brings back great memories of them teaching me how to play and having a good old laugh at same time. Keep up the great content!!
I really loved the endgame and the title he got ain't no joke , being super aggressive and playing tal himself that's really exemplary
Great memory, I'm glad you can share the love of the game with your papa.
Okay, much love to the KZread algorithm for suggesting this! This is so awesome! Your dad is such a character, you should do a whole series of interviews with him just telling stories of fighting against actual legends! Thanks for sharing this with us interweb weirdos!
10:14 this is a very badass reputation Tal has got🔥🔥😂😂
Mad respect for GM Juan Manuel Bellon Lopez! Thank you for sharing this game and your perspective. Amazing video!!!
I love the way Anna looks at her Dad, such admiration
Please thank your mother and father for sharing there games and thoughts during the games. It's something you don't get to see or hear much, especially from the person who actually played the game. It would be fantastic to hear both players perspective of different games they have played against each other. In this day & age it is possible to put links to each other's games. As long as people was civil towards each other, who knows it could be something that could spark more interest in chess.
Beautiful, Anna! Thx for share! Congrats to your father! 👏👏
When Tal plays a move you didn't see, your heart must skip a beat! Great game, such an instructive and joyful retelling.
Really enjoyed the game analysis and look forward to seeing the Korchnoi game!

Brilliant. Also, love your father’s cadence and fricatives - it’s a very pleasant conversation.
Big respect for showing us this ! Great honor!
The admiration and love she has for him as her dad is so evident and pure. Btw, I love his aggressive style.
You can look on her face she is so proud of her Dad.❤️😌
Your dad is a national treasure. His enthusiasm is awesome.
So cute to see you together and such a great game. Love this.
Qué majo tu padre! No me extraña que tengas esa alegría Anna... Grattis för din kanal!
I had a wonderful time listening to father and daughter discussing a grand game in which the father masterfully outplays one of the most creative maestros of chess. I was also a great admirer of your mother, Pia Cramling. Thank you for creating such a homely, warm atmosphere in KZread. God bless you all.
Super dad 😊 you are so lucky Anna to have parents like this in your childhood and life ❤️ never forget it!!
i love to watch you guys! keep up with those great videos! much love from Brazil
Thank you both for this!!!
Listening to her dad's reasoning and his vision of everything on the board even simple things like not giving up control of e5 with his pawn then pushing for c5 so he could break the structure. It is actually mind blowing to me that's not how I think when I play chess at all really shows how much skill GMs have compared to everyone else who just plays chess.
Chess players see the board so much more deeply than I can picture they have such clear foresight in every move it’s crazy
Beautiful, both the game, you, and your dad. What a pleasure to watch.
Tal's underrated forte was imo that he was such an accomplished defender and counter attacker, as you can see here, he very nearly pulled off a great escape, but for the hanging pawn on a7 . A good try from a worse position. I guess his slow opening was to blame. And the Spanish player had great pins and ideas.
Excellent presentation, Anna! Your excellent videos point toward you having a big future in virtually anything you put your mind to.

Incredible to meet someone who played and also beat all those legendary players
absolutely loved this! pops played a genius game against the goat
Brilliant video love how you and your family have such a passion that warms the heart.
Oh my god, your father was a beast!! Incredible player, he held the pressure of playing such an attacking player as Tal. Again, what a game! I really enjoyed how he sacrifice some pawns just to create some tricks or secure the advance of others. Genius!
Such a great spirit between these two and a beautiful game worthy of defeating a great champion like Tal. I love seeing his pride not just at the beautiful pawn sac in the endgame but at even moves he calculated but didn't get to play like f5! in the middlegame
The relationship you both have is incredible. Especially with the chess you both bounce off each other and make it so engaging. Do you have hopes of becoming a GM like your parents?
Anna is so incredibly lovely, the smile is just incredible. One of the best smiles I’ve ever seen. Pure beauty, joy and kindness. The dad seems so wonderful. Great family!!
More than just the chess game and analysis itself, I really enjoyed seeing the bond the both of you had over chess! 😍😍

Well done Anna!... This was a very interesting game of your dads, who explained his joy of the game with youthful energy. Keep up the good work, stay blessed and fantastic.
Respect to your father. Genius guy.
Imagine beating not just someone in an attacking game like this, but the famed attacker Mikhail Tal. Absolutely wild game.
