When businessman Igor Vetrov leaves for a long business trip, he sends an engagement ring to his fiancée Lidia intending to announce their wedding on his return. Unfortunately, the ring is delivered to her neighbour, a spoiled diva who decides to keep it.
Lidia gives up all hope and believing that Igor has left her permanently, accepts a marriage proposal from his friend Aleksandr who is unaware of her previous relationship with Igor. When Igor learns of his fiancée’s engagement, he is consumed with jealousy and introduces his fictitious fiancée Maria to his friends.
Although Maria realises what Igor is up to, she can also see that marrying him would be very advantageous and so she goes along with his plan. How will this love quadrangle play out and will Igor, Lidia, Aleksandr and Maria meet their match?

I love how Russian movies are, in this month I have watched 70 movies and more than 10 series some are old and some new and there's a single one that I didnt love!!! 💕 All have this heartwarming feeling or make me surprised until the next day 😄 the sense of humour the mind-set everything really. I find astounding that the StarMedia comedies, almost all, show Russian urban life in terms of people who own expensive automobiles, live in comfortable, contemporary apartments, and work at well paying jobs - or do before the end of the story. I am reminded of what I read about entertainment in the US during the years of our 1930s depression. The the movies were rich in melodramas with happy endings for all and musicals with dancing by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The songs would have persuaded you that in spite high unemployment and lines for bread and soup, everyone was happy and had visions in their minds of that "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow", where lovers meet an live happily ever after.

if you watched the Russian serials of 2020, you would find even greater perfection and wealth of dwellings, auto... I also lack the former naturalness, but apparently this is the vector of a person in a difficult economic period and strives to dream of a better material side of life. After all, before the imposition of sanctions against Russia and the depreciation of the ruble, we did not have this on the screens. The directors keep their finger on the pulse and compensate the audience for what is missing.

@@YAe71 I don't think it's got anything to do with the sanctions. Star Media films were always pretty far away from the reality of life for most Russian people.

Refreshing to watch a light movie, rather than the heavy melodramas of StarMedia. Using this to learn the language. :) Love this kinds of movie. It's seems like there is an affair going on and that's what about to happen but because the guys are just so close with each other and there are a mix of humor, you don't feel bad at all.
