The film is about the interconnection of events that, at first glance, mean nothing, but in fact have an impact on the lives of complete strangers. The viewer is immersed in the flow of travel in space and time. There is no one main character or a single narrative outline, there is no plot in the usual sense of the word. This film is a reflection of life, where people’s destinies intersect in a bizarre way, creating on the screen the image of Russia in the late 90s. Each character carries his own story, his own unsolved secret - like a passerby on the street whom you noticed and immediately lost from sight forever.

Not one of these endless hollow ordinary and monotone western movies, but a beautiful and impressive masterpiece of cine-art, showing us the unimaginable complexity of human life at any given moment and time. This movie is certainly triggering reflections of the philosophical kind, not providing us with answers to the question what life is supposed to be, but widening the horizon to conceive the hidden interconnectivity of human existence. We are all part of one universal drama - and who is the author and director of it...? Greetings from Germany that is declining in every respect...

You should be glad that you are able to watch intelligently made films, because some are brave enough to produce them knowing the market is small. Holliwod (or Bollywood India) don't bother or care about such small market. They are after mass markets and they want to make big money.

Loved it, especially the world briefing seen through the soulful eyes of the retriever. Life is a mystery, complicated, inexplicable. So very different from a piece of Hollywood entertainment.

One can only concur with a number of commets below as to what all has gone on here. I was tempted to watch it again and even do so from the ending scene and then back. I feel best to leave my imagination to it for now. To say it was a creative piece of film work is an understatement. A surrealistic journey within a type portal, through virtue and vice with dice.

I have just rewatched the movie again. It is an incredible cornucopia of short films where we only get a piece of the story and the rest is left up to us to complete. Each short film is done so well that that it leaves one to wonder what is going on. It is kind of like an excerpt of an upcoming movie. Amazingly done! 👍

Saludos desde México❤ Quise ver esta cinta por pensar que se trataba de una mujer rusa dirigiendo, Karen... fue muy raro el comienzo y tan pronto como empezaron a cambiar las escenas en apariencia sin conexión mutua ni continuidad, la película me fue atrapando por los personajes, la belleza estética y el misterio de Pushkin... Terminé viéndola completa y al final considero que este director ruso Karen es impactante ❤

Зачем было использовать мальчика на таком опасном задании… какая ужасная казнь ребенка. Два мужика везут на лодке ребенка, сами живы остались. Бесчеловечно..
