My mum contacted the hospital and got me put on the waitiing list, but you can also get referred there by another doctor who can do that for you!

Pretty much! I know that it can be different for everyone and sometimes you're asked to wait til your next appointment, sometimes you'll get blockers first, etc, but I've definitely see most people come out of their first appointment with some prescription!
