Gender dysphoria: when you feel absolutely horrible in your own body because your gender is different to your physical form. Also, you guys are great! It really helps when there are people who can explain things like this without bias or fake information

I was told that your $3x was your biological physical form and your G3nd3r was the social traits you identify with. I’m told that they have nothing to do with one another. So how can they “match” one another if they aren’t connected to begin with?

@@neptunianvibeswell your right. It is impossible to change your sex. And up until recently gender and sex were used interchangeably. As far as "matching" men are generally seen as masculine which we usually associate with males and women are seen as feminine usually associate with females.

@@gloobery I understand that. I’m point out the inconsistencies of the philosophy. If your gen/energy has nothing to do with your $3X, then they shouldn’t be connected at all.

There’s also social gender dysphoria where you might be at least neutral about your body but may not be comfortable with more social aspects of gender such as how people address you/treat you based on your perceived gender

Wouldnt it be kinda like a signal from the brain bascially saying it (like a computer?) Isnt running the right hardware? Like it, as an observable entity isnt playing on the right controller ? Having been ("pre loaded")with software so to say

I think they meant what causes the condition of gender dysphoria to begin with. Not what makes you feel dysphoria, but why do you have dysphoria and some people don't, hope it makes sense😅

Kind of simplified. We don't know what makes a majority of cis people feel totally "normal". Humans are a bit more influenced by the "nurture" part of the nature vs nurture dichotomy than most animals, so of course environment matters. Probably more genetics, especially given this has always happened even in place it couldn't possibly be caused by "woke indoctrination", and very similar things have been seen in animals as well. I actually remember my really conservative, racist grandpa saying "I've seen hens that acted like roosters.", and strangely he was understanding of my homosexual uncle, in contrast to rest of my family. Still a bad dude I stopped taking to a long time ago, but it's more evidence exposure to things can make these hateful conspiracy theories impossible to believe.

Depends what you mean - social pressure can cause a lot of distress, but if the underlying issue of a disconnect from or dissatisfaction of one’s sex then the social pressure only exacerbates that

@@SciGuys why isn’t it called “sex dysphoria” then? If sex and gender are different, the term “gender dysphoria” implies that a social transition and maybe adhering to different gender roles would fix the discomfort. Once you get into wanting to take wrong-sex hormones and getting surgery, that’s an issue with ones sex, not the gender role they feel pressured into living up to, no?
