As someone who started building well over decade ago, i really like that one gpu design you just showed off. Its awesome when companies take original approaches and if you don't like them don't buy them. No ones forcing your hand into you wallet. Kinda reminds me of gpu designs back in the day, everyone taking their own unique and functional designs

"ugly" looking much more unique than the cards now that look interchangable with any other

It genuinely does look beautiful, it's nice to see a card without the full-on RGB rainbow vomit, edgelord gamer aesthetic. Everything looks so 'gamer-y' when it really doesn't have to. Best thing I did when I upgraded my shit was cut way back on the RGB. No RGB on the mobo, ram, gpu, or cpu. Fractal Torrent just has 2 front case fans, and a strip in the top, all set to plain white.

Assuming his contract with the racing company required one video which took five hours to make (all included) that would be 80 bucks an hour, and for a company owner with employees its really not that much. but the contract almost certainly requires more than that

Not really fun when you are at the mercy of ToS that get changed all the time. I knew a lot of big youtubers back in the day that had to abandon their youtube job because youtube changes on ToS and only 2 of them ones I knew and were friends with survived. He had to delete his entire content and start having subscribers all over again and only found success about 6-7 after having to reinvent himself.

@@Cyberpunk_2023 It basically just breaks your computer. I know it doesn't happen to everyone, but there are a large amount of people that has been complaining about it for years. It happened to me about a year ago when I bought a Corsair M65 Ultra. I really loved the mouse, but couldn't keep it due to IQUE destroying my pc. Just google "ique breaks computer reddit" and you'll see hundreds of threads all complaining about it. Or there are a fair share of KZread videos also explaining in detail the different types of crashes that happens when icue is installed.

@@Cyberpunk_2023 icue software is known to be incredibly buggy. for example, when i built my new pc i got an h150i elite rgb and after i attempted to update the firmware it stopped and bugged out, bricking the aio to have no rgb and operate at 100% jet thruster ahh speed. it took me an entire day trying alot of fixes just to get it to work again. there have been worse issues compared to mine completely bricking corsair components, the more the component is reliant on the app the easier it is to break. there have been also compatibility issues concerning hardware monitoring apps with icue.

@@tank1078 Ah, damn. I didn't know of these things - did you get it to work witht the AIO in the end? Not the point though, I know you would expect software of this kind to just work straight out of the box. I've heard a lot of people shit on iCUE but never actually tell me whats happened. Thanks for the insight, I'm building a PC this year and another next year for the gf so I will bare this in mind - I have perphierals that are iCUE at the moment and have recieved no issues acorss two set ups and a friend's set up - so thanks for the warning dude :) Saying that though, last month there was an update for iCUE and the software just bricked itself; I had to uninstall to reinstall it for the update. Update felt forced lmao

@@Xify17 See I mostly agree with that. But I've actually been watching alot of tech videos lately as I just finished redoing my entire setup and it wasn't easy. So many sponsored videos, clickbait titles that list "5 new Amazon tech items" only to find out they're all from the same brand aka sponsored, extreme decadence with people having $3k in Nanoleaf panels or a combo of 3-4 pcs/macs in the same room, 10-20 different Playstation or Xbox controllers etc. I wish there was a reviewer who just bought an item with their own money, reviewed it and then made money strictly from the views of the video. Because these sponsorships, "reviews" aka paid promotion etc is not it. Really fake and disingenuous.

No essentially they over charge because they know they can and because the market requires it (think supply/demand)

50/50 on that... Having a GAMING company move over in acquiring a sim entity is sketchy. They could really make or break the market with this. Sim gear is different from RGB fans and keyboards. Thing we need to remember, is that these companies usually have the worst valued products when it comes to PC peripherals. You don't want them taking a Logitech or worse, a Turtle Beach. Prices will stay the same, but the gear will get worse, cheaper feeling and have accent RGB.

I've had good experiences with Corsair as well. I bought an AIO and it came with a fan hub and the connector came unattached from the wires when I went to plug it in so I called their customer support and told them and they didn't even ask any questions or make me even prove I owned their product they just asked me for my address and sent me a new commander lite fan hub or whatever it's called. Very good experience considering what some people have to go through with these big tech companies.

I will also clean up my room now

Corsair makes great cases and peripherals. But they need to work on their CPU cooling units. I had to replace two of them and finally opted into buying Hyper 212 Cooler Master for my CPU.
