Nice! Just order the Dayco 89130 pulley to replace mine since I dropped / cracked it during my M113 rebuild! Thank you for that info

You don't need to do the timing chain, only the timing chain guides. I haven't seen any evidence that the timing chain stretches over time. Tasos Moschatos states this one of his videos and Alex from legitstreetcars tested this by measuring a new VS old and there wasn't any difference.

hey, remember you have an alternator to white bearing. if all the pulleys are bad, the alternator are right around corner to. it would be too bad if it left you stranded on your next road trip. i belive it eksist DIY to rebuild it to

The alternator was replaced when I first got the car, so it's new 😀

@@RANDASHthats good news :D and the clutch on the AC compresor? it has a bearing to, separate from the internet in the AC. It's rare that it goes bad, but your car are getting up there

Are “FCP Euro” prices competitive when you add in shipping to the UK?

I got a rear air shock/spring on E500 replaced 6 months back, also Bilstein. Was also bad. Would deflate in 4-6 hours. Lucky the shop that did it got a replacement. Weirdly though, the original one was not actually bad, just the hose to the external 'ball' just tore, a split at the connection that got worse over time. Not a single shop detected that in the 6 years I tried to figure out the problem. 2-3 indie shops and twice to different merc shops.

thats interesting! Maybe Bilsteins quality is no longer what it used to be? - I always thought Bilstein were the OEM provider of airmatic components for Mercedes

@@RANDASH I guess that is why they can charge $1k. Seen many cheaper, but most have negative reviews. Arnott seems to come second, but nothing for me locally (also would have needed 2 for rear for the way they work). Anyways, check your tubes, might be something silly. Even Bilstein says never to remove the tubes that come assembled with them (probably only relevent for the rears with reserviors).

TBH I dont understand their warning. The Airmatic system only goes up to 16 bar, which is nothing really in terms of pressure. Maybe just borderline to begin with?
