My days in Yosemite National Park

In September I got to on the journey of my dreams. I visited the Yosemite national park together with my fiance Johan. For 8 days we explored the park and experienced the most breathtaking moments.
This is a loooong videoblog made from all the videos I filmed with my smaller camera during this trip. A mix of all emotions. A lot of happiness though :)
(And sorry it's in Swedish only!)

While stationed at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California, my husband and I visited Yosemite Park a few times. It's truly beautiful but it has become so touristy. And many people wandering off or camping alone end up murdered or missing. People tend to destroy all things of beauty, which is incredibly sad and unfathomable. i would much prefer your forest, lake and mountains and their solitude. My father taught me a deep appreciation and love for nature and all creatures. We lived in Germany in a high-rise building but he took us children to the woods on Sundays, swimming in secret little creeks and getting in tune with nature. As an adult, I moved to the USA and 15 years ago, we bought a small piece of land and a house in the country. I have never been at peace anywhere, suffering from anxiety until we found our little piece of paradise in the woods. I have deer coming to visit every day, rabbits hopping through the grass and a small sliver of mountain view. My soul is finally at peace. I sit outside in the middle of the night and fear nothing. No more anxiety. When I come home from work my entire being sighs and relaxes when I park in my driveway. It's nothing like your slice of heaven but it's mine and I am grateful for it. ❤

Just came across this video, Jonna, though I have been following you for years now. Glad you were able to behold the beauty of Yosemite. This brought back many memories for me: camping there in the 1970’s and star-gazing in Tuolumne Meadows; honeymooning there is 1982 and hiking among the giant Sequoias. I hope you get the opportunity to return to the U.S., as there are so many natural wonders to explore in our National Parks.

Glad you got to see Yosemite. We live in the Northern Sierras up by Lake Tahoe. Sorry you were there during a fire and our lovely drought. The lack of water for so long, killed off millions of trees and we are still dealing with dying trees, weak trees falling in the very wet and windy winter we have had but we love our mountains. Donner Lake is another beautiful place to visit. You looked like you really enjoyed yourselves.

Watching this in March 2021, I subscribed to your channel a few days ago. I grew up in Tuolumne County in California and have visited Yosemite often. I wish you could have come during April, it is mid spring here in April and reminds me of June in Sweden. The waterfalls are spectacular during April because of the snow melt, and there are so many flowers and green grass. Late summer and Fall in Yosemite is still pretty, but the waterfalls are just a trickle and everything turns dry and brown. I’m glad you had no issues with bears while there, they can be dangerous. When I took my teenage niece and nephew to visit Yosemite for the first time, my nephew said he wasn’t afraid of bears because he was a fast runner. I told him bears are very fast too, and he replied, “I don’t have to be faster than the bear, just faster than you.” 😂

So wonderful to see the footage from 6 years ago before all the madness, people being people, being next to each other, not afraid and their faces all in the open, breathing the fresh air, as it should be. Hi Jonna, my relatives are from Stockholm. They were a very established family of goldsmiths that used to work with the royal family but that was many years back in WWI era. The same family did eventually emigrate and settle, living in Minnesota on a dairy farm. They didn't want to be in any wars. My great grandfather and grandmother were also a clergy Lutherans and had a beautiful singing voice, both were musical people. I have love for music too studying over 12 years privately until I married a soldier and now we are done with military and we own two 7-Eleven stores which are fun. I'm a practicing muslim and mysticism runs on my father's non-Swede side they were Irish traveling probably unconfirmed Catholics. I don't have much living (lots o dead relatives) family left but I do live with my own small family of four, daughter son mom and dad in Colorado USA. We love it but I would like to also go to Sweden to see where I really come from... ... ... but I find I am happy anywhere in nature the mountains and beautiful rocks. I will never leave the rockies. But I have told my children to go back to Sweden if USA keeps destroying the lands. It's a fantastic place just the same anywhere on earth is wonderful it isn't polluted or abused by people. 🦋 She's a beauty -nature everywhere you go! As long as it's not a city and there is plenty of sunshine. That's why I live here because Colorado has sunshine 300 days out of the year! It's a paradise and you are most welcome to stay if ever you pass thru. Hugs and love sent to another clumsy Swede. Tiffanie Anna Q of Colorado Springs USA Rocky Mountain High 🦋💕❤🧡💙😚🏞🚵‍♀️🤗💜💛💚❤💕🦋

Yosemite is so spectacular, but sad to see half the forest dead from mountain pine betel. I love all your videos. Those in Swedish I only understand a little of. I know some Ny Norsk but the pronunciations are often different, though many words are similar.
