WHAT if your best friend weighed 10,000lbs and was able to crush a watermelon under her foot? Acrobat and animal handler Lauryn Murray, 33, from Florida, grew up in a circus and spends almost every day caring for Lady Essex, a huge Asian elephant. Lauryn says the two are 'as close as a human and an elephant can be’. Amazingly, Lady Essex plays fetch with Lauryn’s dogs and even likes to play with her three-year-old son, who helps give her a bath.

The feelings of the animal should be understood and the animal should not be treated as an animal. Animals are also a living being on this world like us. that is very good.
Imagine being kidnapped by an alien and keeping you as a pet . We know elephants are very close to their families, but this elephant is been raised like a dog . Very sad

Well, family part maybe not. only the females get a family the males are thrown out as soon as they are of age!

Sorry, but that beautiful animal needs the social interactions of a herd. It was a circus animal, so no matter how much you convince yourself, it was there to perform tricks for paying customers, and now it's basically a pet. If you had found a conservation area or a national park with other elephants, then that would have shown concern and love for the animal. I may sound like I feel strongly about these sorts of things, but wild animals should be able to roam about freely as much as they possibly can

aren't we all supposed to be wild animals though? we are also domesticated. enjoy it. she's taken great care of. no situation in this world is ideal. we make the best with what we have.

Everybody is doing that now. We should call this stuff out more often. It's called laziness. I wish you tube would Crack down on it and tell them " you already uploaded this, try something different" and KZread should delete it immediately.
Listen, I understand she loves her, but wild animals really deserve to be in the wild. There is a great deal of abuse that has the potential to go unnoticed because of things like these.
Wow nice that you treat your "buddy" like a circus animal . Why can't you just take care of him and leave the stunts out of it. It's not your play toy there to amuse you
