Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In today's video I discover a fuel leak on my 200k mile saab 9-5 aero! After a quick inspection I discovered it was coming from the fuel filter. With a quick trip to the store I was able to replace the same day. To order yourself a filter see the links below to DIY at home! Please like, share, and subscribe!

nice catch, a great lesson for using all your senses when you own a car especially an old saab , you keep problems from getting out of hand and your car on the road, don’t ya just hate rust !!

Im not skilled in practically mechanic and systems, but i do have some kind of sense for things i noticed thru the years (yes they call me manic, paranoid and uberpicky), but what you said, use of senses and little time to nudge it in (even when not thinking of it, the process is there in the backhead) . Everytime i jump in a car, may it be my own or anyones lol...i listen and notice things hardly recognizable for "healthy" people, the reaction when mention those things is always the same; Huh.no i dont hear anything/ye ye4that have been for a long time... So smell, listen and even if needed, taste can prevent total havoc if taken care of while working and if not in worst case can cause a chainreaction. Same for computers, draining or any kind of systems. /Oh im so sensitive :)

Copper washers are ok bit tend to seep a bit. Get the rubber ones and no leaks. 👍🏻 great video!

Nice that Saab used banjo bolts instead of the inline breakable brakeline-style stupidity GM used during that era. Now you should have a better fuel flow, as that filter may have been loaded up! Safety note: When you run into a rodent mess, make sure to sanitize everything afterwards, including the shop vac, and wear a mask. Hantavirus is found in their mess, and can turn into a fatal lung infection if inhaled.

On salty roads the fuel filter might last shorter than the service distance 170.000km (900 / OG93). The metal housing is thin. It's one of the first things to suspect if the car smells of gasoline/petrol.

I drove one for 10 years and the car was already 10 yo when i get it. That particular filter was one the tons of part that i changed regardless of prevous maintenance records and the milage. The car had about 140000 kms on the clock back then.

Dude I keep having a power steering issue. I replaced the pump 2 times. It’s not noisy just feeling heavy

Hmmn...don't think I would use a power socket to remove bolts with all that fuel running out.

Question for you. Is the secondary air injection. Pump really needed. On the 93 model

The SAI system puts air in the exhaust when the car starts to help burn the rich fuel mix on startup. It only runs for about 45 seconds on first start with a cold (

I can't speak for your country's laws/regulations, but in the UK at least, no it's not needed. It can be turned off in the ECU and the one-way valve (which is usually what causes the failure of the pump) blanked off. The pump itself can then be left in place.
