What kind of spray paint & exact color did you use on your Allertor? I'm only asking since I also got an Allertor and am wanting to repaint it. Any tips before repainting? Because I have no experience.

Congratulations! I used Home Depot wall brush paint, I don’t really remember the color to be honest. I’d just say to be gentle with the fiberglass, one wrong push and it’ll crack and disintegrate.

@@xXSo1arGamingXx Oh you’re fine man. On my unit, I just scrapped off the moss and painted over the old paint. I chose brush paint as I had more options of color and shine.

It is a single phase 5HP 240volt motor.

I’m not sure kinda sounds like 10/12 but sounds more like a 8/12

@@Godzilla20191 its a 9/12 by the sound of it. you can tell also because of the horn shape as its a 3rd gen allertor which only came in 9/12. 1st gen allertors are most commonly equipped with either 10/12 or 8/12

@@vantaaax as a siren enthusiast I can confirm I don’t know that because I don’t look at sirens in person and the internet doesn’t have info on that so yay I’m considered a new siren enthusiast even though I almost got a thunderbolt (btw I said 8/12 because it kinda sounded like a P50 like the 8/12 and it was underpowered)
