Absolutely so cool to see an original gasoline powered Mobil Directo. Neat to see how you've used an electric motor coupled to the turntable to turn it 360 degrees in place of the Wisconsin 25hp motor. The gasoline models only came in an 8 port single tone model which has a lower pitch than the 10/12 port dual one you have used in the recording. The dual tone models only came with an electric motor. Still a very cool exhibit to see regardless. The gasoline models were only produced for a short while so these are very rare. An air-cooled V-4 Wisconsin!!!! How awesome!!!! I had one of those V-4s many years ago, it was for a farm irrigation system, and locked up tighter than you could imagine. After several attempts to free it up, i finally had to dispose of it, bummer.

The sound isn’t real tho. It is a speaker playing it, the actual siren wasn’t running. If it was it would’ve been much louder

why is the size large than the other sirens in comparisons?

The siren Electra motor isn't connected to the spinning thing so that means a huge speaker is in side

I'm trying to remember where these were installed. I forgot they had a gas engine version.

Its not working. You can see the chopper not spinning. It rotates because the belt is attached to the rotator, but not attached to the chopper motor

First of all, is it where real like that one that spins really fast it would be pretty loud so no one wants to get their ears hurt unless you want to stand next to one of these big boys

The original engine is still on it. We used an electric motor hooked up to the gearbox for obvious reasons inside a museum!

They’re both 10/12 port (except this exact Mobil directo is 8 port) but it has the sound from a 10/12 one

While the sound is real, the siren here, a Gas Powered Mobil Directo was only produced in 8 ports while the sound heard in the video is from a 10/12 port Mobil Directo, which never used a gas powered motor, but instead an electric powered motor.
