Hello there, welcome to my channel! Here I document outdoor warning sirens all throughout the Southeast and Southeastern Midwest. If you have any questions or comments, don’t refrain from asking! Y’all have a good one.
This one is really cool, sounds like an RM 130 because of the pitch.

Just 2 days later on the 31st, an historic tornado outbreak would slam near this area. While it did not hit millington, as a citizen of millington, these sounds filled my the most dread one can offer. I used to have a terror of tornado sirens all through my childhood, they were always pretty damn scary as my area they desync but in a way that makes them go together with each other really in a scary way.

This place actually had some very important history. That siren is right across the street from the Lorraine Hotel, which if you know your history, is where MLK was unfortunateky assasinated...

The Whelen was deactivated in 2014 because Greenwood County thought the sirens were obsolete. The Sentry is only 5 of its kind known to exist from what I’m aware. I don’t think the Sentry has ever done anything since the Whelen was installed (about 200X-ish).
@PalmettoStateSirensАй бұрын
They were all disconnected in 2015 actually, and the Whelen was installed in 2010.
