She's not only had sexual trauma, She's trying to find the love she didn't get from her parents and trying to fill it with sex/boys/romance. Which hurts to see cause she's worthy of being loved, and I'm glad she has a sister who loves her so much to try to help her have a better life.

I wish I had someone to help me like that. I had sexual trauma and did the same thing. I didn’t feel good about what I was doing, but didn’t know how to stop behaving that way. Now, 7 kids later and my children being taken advantage of by a family member I had to relive my trauma while helping them through there’s. Most of my children are grown except the last two and I’m just now getting help for myself. Growing up in my family there was no such thing as talking to a Therapist because it was for “crazy” people supposedly. Also, I was taught what goes on in our house stays in our house. I’ve tried my best to get my children the help they need because I want them to be so much better than me. When I overcome my pain and past I hope to help others like this young lady and myself. She is so lucky to have such a loving and caring sister and her sisters partner. She is going to have such a bright future and I’m so proud of her.❤ I forgot I’m logged in under my daughters account. 🤦🏾‍♀️

As soon as the older sister said she’s a “sex addict” I knew the younger sister was being hyper sexual as a result of sexual assault & trauma. She’s very self aware for her age but didn’t have the resources she really needs. I hope the best for the 3 of them

For her sister to call her a sex addict knowing what she has been through is extremely disgusting. A 16 year old girl who is promiscuous is not a sex addict, she’s obviously acting out trauma! She’s a battered and abused child. It is entirely inappropriate for her sister to refer to her as a sex addict. Smh

@@hazelboyce7230 two things can exist at the same time. Her sister should absolutely be commended for stepping up(which isn’t her responsibility) and caring for her sister. But that don’t negate the fact that the language she& her girlfriend used( ON LIVE TELEVISION AT THAT) towards her traumatized sister as if they don’t know why she acting the out the way she has is totally inexcusable. This is a young girl who has NEVER had a proper role model or the proper teachings so she tried seeking for love the best way she knew how. They need to handle her behaviors with more precaution and care so she can properly learn how to navigate her emotions simple. The black community has a issue with tough love & it’s honestly doing way more harm than it ever did good.

I like how Karamo goes out of his way to not embarrass his guests or make them uncomfortable. When he was handed the screenshots of the things J'Lea was texting to boys he only read one text message compared to other shows where they would have just aired all of them out because they only care about their show ratings. From the very beginning when the sister was describing how J'Lea was interacting with boys I could already tell she might have been looking for the love she needed from her parents in the boys she was dating. She is a beautiful bright young girl and props to her sister and the girlfriend for looking out for her.

i'm freaking out because i went to school with this girl and it's so surreal seeing someone you knew on a show like this. Watching this video has put me to tears because everyone at my school in North Carolina judged her, and made her the outcast, and I fell under that umbrella even though I knew little about the situation. But even though, I kept my thoughts to myself and I texted her on the regular, I told her that i'm here for her, I tried to help mediate a situation she had with one of my friends and i never tried to make her feel like an outcast. And now i'm so glad that I never said anything bad or judged her outwardly because you really do not know what is going on in someone's life. It's such a shame that we can be blinded by other people's thoughts, and not really try to help the hurting. I hope she is doing better now that she moved away.

First I want to say I’m proud of this young lady for being so open with her pain and trauma and I want to commend her for acknowledging where the hurt is coming from and what she believes is the healing she needs. My advice to her sister is be mindful of how you portray your little sister during such a trying time in her life. Your support during this time will make or break your relationship going forward. She had to process the reality of abandonment, the hardships that comes with abandonment, being violated and no one to save her, watching her mom engage in sexual activity at all is horrific let alone at 6, as well as doors constantly closed in her face. Yes, she is acting out sexually however she is telling you verbatim why and that is your cue to learn how to be a vessel of unwavering love no matter how she shows up, as well as be the one to speak the life into her that her parents never did. That is the role YOU took on when you took over guardianship. I’m praying for everyone’s healing. I see myself in that baby and she just needs to feel heard so she can work through these traumas in a safe space. Much love 🫶🏾

I’m just gonna hope this was her last resort bc this really felt like she brought her younger sister on TV to embarrass her & give her a wake up call & that’s not what she needed.

The sister stepped up and honestly that wasn't her responsibility she saw a need and tried to help it wasn't the best way however she did try. That poor 16 year old needs help that the sister may or may not have the resources or understanding to give. Hopefully the will get some counseling.

Black women forever center black boys in every aspect of their life, and there is no funding in programs for black girls in comparison to black boys. Until bw care about black girls like they do black boys, this will never end.

as someone who was fforced to leave school early bc of behavioral issues and a real messy family (that i was kicked out of in the last 4 months of being at school), please just give these kids the benefit of the doubt, ask them to stay after class, so you can ask them 'how are you feeling? whats going on at home? what's going on in your head, do you need any extra time, how can i make you comfortable to forget your homelife and focus in here?' cause most of these kids, they want an education, they want to do good, but the more rejection and punishment and misunderstanding they face the harder it is for them to want to keep showing up.

*”What was the excuse when she was with her mother”?* Umm, she spoke in great detail and made it very clear that she was living in an extremely dysfunctional situation, so that is her “excuse”. I think the sister and the GF do truly love this beautiful young lady, and they want the best for her, but I think they’re going to need a lot of ongoing guidance to help bring her through this situation, and she definitely needs some professional help. I applaud the GF for encouraging the sister to bring her into their home. Also, just so we’re clear…babygirl is getting those good grades because of *HERSELF.* You all are the facilitators, but it’s her own intelligence that’s banking those grades.

  • @RedLipsRedWineRealTalk

    @RedLipsRedWineRealTalk

    Жыл бұрын

Actually she have those good grades because of us. If we don’t push her and help her with her work and check her assignments daily to make sure everything is done correctly and if not WE make sure to see that it will be done right. So once again I say she has those good grades because of us, before we took her in when she was with the mom she literally was failing everything, now she will be graduating from high school a year early. I couldn’t be more proud of her. I asked what was the excuse when she was with her mother because when she was with the dad she cried out for her mom then she got with the mom and walked all over top of her like she was the child. She did a lot of things to get with the mom to only get there and act grown. So when she got with us and realized she no longer had the luxury of being grown and doing all the grownup activities she quickly started talking that mom talk again, but not to have to mom and be with the mom but to just live like a grownup.

This was excellent. When children are acting out in whatever way, that’s the tip of the iceberg. The bad or unwanted behavior is a symptom of a deeper issue. What a bright and beautiful young person she is. Once her older sister & girlfriend have the right tools and that understanding, that young lady is going to (continue) thrive! Her being there, as beautiful and intelligent as she is, is already a testament…but her testimony once the healing starts is going to be extraordinary. Many blessings to this young lady and her older sister & girlfriend, glad she now can truly experience love being in their care.

I pray she finds the support she needs to heal from the hurt her parents caused, it won't be easy but just listening to her, I know she can do it. Bless her sisters for stepping in during this time, I know it's hard trying to raise a teen sibling... I've been there and felt like a failure. Even when I thought I was giving my all (love and support) it was never enough to heal those wounds that caused them to act out. I'll be praying for this family 🙏🏾

He’s such a great, caring host. You can tell he genuinely cares and that it’s not just about the views. This one brought me to tears because she’s clearly crying out for just love and affection- she’s just going to the wrong places for it. I pray she’s on a path to healing today 🫶🏼🙏🏼

My heart breaks for this young lady. Please get her the help she needs because they don't have the compacity to understand what she's going through! Of course, she romanticizes things when her life has been hell. The gf is speaking from her own pain and projecting it onto the young lady. It doesn't matter what you've experienced and survived it. It was still dysfunctional. She's not built for that! She's looking for love!

You are absolutely wrong on every point. For one I haven’t ever been through no pain of this sort at all, for two my parents are very much so active currently in my life, for three we went on the show clearly because we love her and want the best for her that’s why we reached out for help, for four we refuse for her to throw her life away for a momentary feeling and not finish school or end up a teen mom. For the last reason I wasn’t raised that way I was raised that a child is a child and when you start paying your own bills in your own house you are an adult and can do as you please. When she finish college with her doctorate degree she’ll Thanks us for wanting the best for her. I’m not putting my pain off on her I don’t have any pain to put on her. I wasn’t ever touched or nothing like that. I just love her and I know she really want better for herself. We just had to get past that hump and Karamo got us over it. Hopefully we get the chance to give you guys an update so.

She is so self-aware and smart. She is going to change so many lives. She is so beautiful. She has taken her mom's addiction personally and that it's her. We have to get follow up on this princess

From someone who felt like they were a inconvenience as a child, I know exactly how she feels, this is what happens when parents don't parent especially when a father doesn't make their daughter feel important and that she is loved and she matters. She will grow out of it but she is going to need help. She's hurting but most importanly she feels abandoned.
