Imagine people throwing rocks at you, or your parent's store being robbed, or people attempting to run you over with motorbikes, or getting death threats and frequent insults/bullying, or having the power shut off while you're playing a show, all because of trying to play rock/metal music while Muslimah. And add to that the fact of being relatively shy, physically tiny, young girls in a small conservative rural village, with few options for the future other than marriage or perhaps a shopkeeper, etc. Courage was their solution to despair. You could try South Korea next. Check out Rolling Quartz: an all female rock band from South Korea. I've seen them described as Korea's answer to Band Maid. But they have their own unique style and look. My favorite of theirs is "Azalea". They also do a great cover of Maneskin's "Zitti E Buoni".
