Band BIO:
Voice of Baceprot are an Indonesian all-female rock band formed in Garut, West Java in 2014. Consisting of young hijab-wearing trio Firdda Marsya Kurnia (vocals and guitar), Widi Rahmawati (bass), and Euis Siti Aisyah (drums), the word “baceprot” from their band name comes from the Sundanese language meaning “noisy”. It was chosen to represent the type of music that they play. VOB began to turn heads when a video of the band performing a cover of a song by Rage Against The Machine in 2015 became popular on KZread. The three-piece continued to produce more videos of them covering songs by their idols, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, and Slipknot, which garnered even more attention from both local and international media. They quickly went viral. Besides their musical abilities, it was also the unique and contradictory combination of heavy rock/metal music and their wearing of the hijab that caught the eye of media from across the globe.
FUN FACTS about band:
- Their counselling teacher and theatre coach Erza Satia or Abah, as he is fondly referred to became their mentor, providing musical references from the songs that he had on his laptop and teaching them the basics of playing musical instruments by improvising with whatever equipment that was available to them.
- Siti, the drummer, stated that her parents originally opposed her involvement in the group, but changed their minds when the band won an award at a music festivaL

С первых кадров видео я почувствовала тревогу. Было в этом какое-то желание раскрыть себя миру. Смелые девочки! Моё уважение им! Музыка не сложная, тем и притягательна для слушателя. Вокал красивый. Продуманный видео ряд: смена цвета чёрных головных уборов на красные и в конце - белые одежды, меня впечатлила. У них всё получилось!!! Спасибо, дорогие, за столь интересное видео, за возможность узнавать такие группы. Здесь есть о чём подумать и чему удивиться.

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has a music culture but lately there are some Islamic teachers who say that music is not allowed because of sin, not all Indonesians agree with that teaching including VOB, that's why VOB made this song

Absolutely. That's what messed up about our world but man so true it is very impressive that they are doing it.
From the first frames of the video, I felt alarm. There was some kind of desire to reveal himself to the world. Brave girls! My respect to them! The music is not complicated, that's why it is attractive to the listener. The vocals are beautiful. A thoughtful video series: changing the color of black hats to red and at the end - white clothes, impressed me. They did it!!! Thank you, dear ones, for such an interesting video, for the opportunity to recognize such groups. There is something to think about and something to be surprised about.

I really liked that! I kinda like all of it. I can't quite explain why, cause the individual pieces aren't something really impressive..but somehow the combination makes magic.. The raw feeling, the heaviness, the lyrics, the video, the message...all around a great song! How have I not heard of them yet?!

They call their .usic genre is "hip metal funkie", just a because simple thing the vocalist like hip hop, the drumer like metal and the bassist like punk. When u guys hear They fisrt song "School Revolution", that really representative their music genre.

Thx for yr opinion ... VOB is a band who live in a small village. They have not proper instrumen when they begin, because lack of money. Up to now, the drummer still have not drum, but they are very tough girls. Say hello for you from Indonesia.
I've followed these amazing girls for quite a while now. All three are superb musicians, with Widi on the bass the standout for me. They did not have the easiest start due to their religion and it was their priest who suggested that they write a song asking for permission. which I guess was granted since they are going from strength to strength. I believe there is a European tour next year.

They are on European Tour Now on Nov28th to Dec10th 2021 : Netherland (Harleem, Nijmegen, Groningen ), Belgium (Brussel, Arlon), France (Rennes, Montbeliard), and Switzerland (Geneve)

Finally, Austria-based artist booking and management agency GLP (Georg Leitner Productions GmbH) has recently confirmed that the rock trio has been exclusively signed to perform for Central and South America including Mexico. Who are expecting it? Amazing!!! VOB, you all The Best🤟🤟🤟
They are currently on tour in Europe. Unfortunately new COVID restrictions have forced 2 concerts to be canceled so far. They are a low budget band for sure. There are conservative forces in Indonesia which are hostile to them.

@@dicodec yes!! Actually the English fooled me confused me for a second, because I had only before heard her in her natural language. I'm not sure what they speak in Indonesia. Again. South Korea. Band: Walking After U. Ariang (spelling?) To me a very good song. Lead singers voice, ♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍. The band is pretty darn good I think they just need more exposure... In South Korea it's hard competing with K-pop when you are trying to play K-Rock/hard rock. Also the lead singer can sing in English and I found them when I was looking for some AC/DC videos and I found their video her singing in English a AC/DC song. Again👍♥️👍♥️😮♥️😮♥️

Their song School Revolution is pretty cool. It's an older song and I believe their 1st official music video. The song is also mainly in Indonesian with a little English. These ladies are also very young being born in the years 2000 and 2001. They learned their instruments when they were in school 🤘😊🤘

You know there is a verse in Quran that silence once for all all the Talibans, Isis integrists... Allah says in the Quran that if human beings had not been endowed with freedom of choice, all those who dwell on earth would have been made to believe (in that which Allah asks them to believe). But this was not Allah’s way. He says, “Would you compel people to believe?”, signifying that people are under no compulsion by the Almighty to believe or disbelieve and that they should not be compelled in this regard by other people. “None can attain faith except in accordance with Allah’s law”, which is that “Allah lays the loathsome evil [of disbelief] upon those who will not use their reason”. People believe or disbelieve according to Allah’s law of universal causation. Human WILL is absolutely free from compulsion but not free from causation. We, as Muslims, aren't allowed by Allah to be Him and force people to believe and practice religion... This is not our mission on Earth... We are here to worship Him, and be merciful to every human creature... Mercy starts every surah of the Quran, so those who force people to be obedient are hypocrites and treators to Him... I'm Muslim, I'm a poet, love amazing metal music and I am at peace with myself, cause I'm doing nothing wrong... So are these women too... Thanks for your reaction...
