i'm an old guy - 70 to be precise - and had never watched one anime in my entire life. then i saw the mv for ROSELIA doing their song 'ringing bloom' live via a youtube suggestion. loved the band and after doing the research found out they were one of 4 out of 7 real bands to come from BANGDREAM. it takes place at the fictional hanasakigawa girl's academy with the main protagonist kasumi toyama as a 15 year old just entering the school. she is looking for something to capture her emotions so tries all sorts of different clubs to join but nothing thrills her. then one day she follows a trail of aged stickers in the shape of stars and it leads her to a warehouse where she spots a bright red esp guitar and the light bulb in her head pops on. she has now found her thrill and it just gets better from there. very cute characters that form the band POPPIN PARTY' - one of the real groups that play their own music. the first 3 episodes from season 1 are available on youtube and are definitely worth watching. you may get addicted to the series to see what happens or not. only one way to find out ! then watch the live of 'ringing bloom ' from roselia - my favorite song. drummer megu sakuragawa is a great drummer and so damn cute it hurts. she just can't stop smiling. kind of like haruna from LOVEBITES. who by the way are my favorite of all of the japanese girl groups

Welcome to the Bang Dream universe! It can be a bit confusing at first but you did understand correctly how this project works. These girls are both the voice actresses for the characters that form Roselia, the fictional band from the anime/game; and the musicians that form Roselia, the real-life band. There are now 9 bands in the ever-expanding Bang Dream universe, 6 of which are in the same case, while the other 3 are only singing with a backing band behind them. These six real-life bands are: - Poppin'Party - Roselia - RAISE A SUILEN - Morfonica - MyGO!!!!! - Ave Mujica For all bands except MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica, most original songs are written by Elements Garden, a team composed of a dozen of songwriters/composers/lyricists/producers. With this many bands, all having lots of great songs, it's impossible for me to select only a few recommendations. So I'll just suggest this: any song by any of those bands listed above. Hope you'll enjoy your Bang Dream journey!

Oh… the blue rose. It’s their symbol; it’s actually in their logo. The meaning is: achieving the impossible (a blue rose does not exit in nature). The name Roselia is a mix of Rose and Camellia…

all I can say is anyone who does not have their eyes and ears tuned in on the Japanese rock scene for the past 10+ years is missing out, yet another outstanding, entertaining, talented and beautiful band. The vocals & bass stand out most for me, but every layer is fantastic, there's no weak/boring link. at all. fantastic.

14:50 The Bang Dream Franchise hires producers and composers to write songs for the bands (Roselia, Popipa, etc.). The most notable one is 'Elements Garden' which is a group of talented musicians responsible for thousands and thousands of anime songs.

The BanG Dream franchise has a total of 9 artists/bands in their roster, the newest ones being MyGo!!! (added to the roster in 2022) and Ave Mujica (created January of this year), and they all kick ass! Like many others have mentioned here, I would suggest you put in your reactions rotation the bands Raise a Suilen, Morfonica and the 2 new ones, especially Ave Mujica, that band is to me the best one so far!

Thank you for playing my suggestion. This MV was without the BanG Dream! ads. They are a real good live band but those official videos have tons of ads all over the screen. But the live version of this song is really good as well as Firebird. All of their songs are really good. Raise a Suilen is indeed also an awesome live band. The music is mostly written by Element Garden; the members never write any of the music or play on the official recordings. They do however play their instruments live. I have so many suggestions… Their very first song ‘Black Shout’ or B-side ‘Louder’ are awesome and it only got better from there.

Bang Dream is basically a rhythm game, ala Guitar Hero but for the iOS platform. All the music was created specifically for the game and its mythos. For me the stand outs are the drummer and bassist. The bass player actually studied music in Rochester as part of college's exchange program.

The video is from the official BangDream youtube channel, my guess is that the bands don't have their own channels because everything is managed by BangDream. 4 of the band have live bands as well (I believe with the voice actresses playing live): Poppin'Party, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, and Morfonica. And there are couple that are game/anime only virtual bands. I hardly know anything about any of them myself, but my sister is a big fan of the rhythm game and anime for a long time now (mainly a Roselia fan) and she talked to me about it before so I know a little bit about it. And yes, they were originally voice actresses (a lot of VO's nowadays can sing), who also play instruments. I have looked at Blu-rays of live shows before for Christmas presents but the mount of stuff they release every year makes it semi-impossible to get into it for me, so I never bit the bullet with the chance of it being something she wouldn't enjoy. These Blu-rays are also crazy expensive because these shows are basically multiple day festivals with all the bands performing on huge stages. To be honest, this is not really for me, but I don't think it's bad either. I am actually surprised every time how capable they are at playing their instruments since they weren't technically professional musicians when they started this as far as I'm aware.

My guess for all the fire is that this is a sequel/answer to an eariler song they did called Firebird. That song had a lot of references to fire and phoenixes. As far as other Roselia stuff to check out, Neo-Aspect and Zeal of Proud are two bangers that (I think) haven't been mentioned here yet.

I first was introduced to this band by the anime. I have loved there music ever since. I like there music just an much if not more than the main characters of the anime. You should check out the live version of the song Fire Bird. Also there is an other band in this enterprise you should look at called Morfonica. One of there members plays an electric violin. I totally enjoy the live versions of there songs Daylight and Flame of hope.

Funny what 'thedocofrock1890' wrote because I am 65 and entered the anime/japanese music also only just a couple of year ago. When I started to listen to BanG Dream (they spell it "bandori"), the fans are BanG Dreamers, it immediately caught me and now I am addicted to all of those bands. In the last 1 and 1/2 years I bought ALL of the live concert Blu rays of ALL the 9 bands. I haven't seen all of them yet. It's more than 70 concerts and I keep buying. Roselia is my most favorite but I also like the good mood of Poppin'Party (they laugh all the time) and the outstanding violin of Morfonica played by Ayasa. Now for this video and your reaction. Rozen Horizon is the fastest song of Roselia I think so don't expect all of them going that pace. But no matter which pace ALL songs are great. As with any music video they do not play the instruments live there and of course they do not sing live there. The song is from their CD and if you buy it you will recognize that NONE of the girls play ANY instrument there (the only exception is Ayasa in Morfonica because the is a fantastic violin player). Professional studio musicians play it, the voices however are theirs. That is because Japanese want to deliver a perfect record. Now you may say everybody can do so, standing in a video and pretend to play a video BUT: Please continue to read on. Of course they also play live and there they play all those instruments they show here. 'Of course' because that's why they do in the anime and the audience wants to see them live like in the anime (They wear also the same clothes tailor made like painted in the anime). This is why you never should rely on a music video alone. Since I have all their LIVE concert blu ray I found Rozen Horizon live as well (for example on BanG Dream! Special☆LIVE Girls Band Party! 2020→2022 where they perform with all the three other bands plus the singers from Afterglow and Hello, Happy World. Seeing this song live would convince you that they are as fantastic as in the video. First of all they told in an interview that they would rehearse 8 times a week or more. That you need to get perfect. But listen to this: While playing it live there was a huge screen in the background showing that video from above. They played it exactly as in the video. When the singers mouth opens in the video it opens live, the same for all of the instruments. And that keeps until the end. Maybe Megua Sakurauchi, the drummer, has a click in her ear or something. The same is true on every song in every concert when the anime scene is in the background like Fire Bird. It is just incredible. I am also playing in multiple bands as bass player but keeping the speed from beginning to the end to the fraction of a second seems incredible for me. However we are rehearsing only once a week (next year we celebrate our 50th anniversary). For Roselia you don't know the whole story. That band needed to replace the bass player and the keyboard player. The latter one lost her hearing capability twice and needed to step down. The former one had also a part time job and could not rehearse so much etc. so she decided to leave. They did their last show together at "2018-05-13 - Roselia - BanG Dream! 5th ☆ LIVE DAY2 Roselia 'Ewigkeit'". All of their concerts have German names "Ewigkeit" means "Eternity". If you understood how deep the bond is between the girls you would notice how they love each other. They are like a family. You can easily see this when they say goodbye to the keyboarder Satomi Akesan here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJqGrsulhMy0cbA.html If you are a Roselia fan you need to see it. It has English subtitles. Aina Aiba's good voice is maybe because she was a wrestler in her former life.

Bro, your comment about the anime: "You guys really like your anime. It's Japan, after all!" Was really condescending and laden with stereo typing. I'm sure you thought it was funny, and you didn't mean anything by it, but it came across like I said earlier. I am not Japanese, but I was born and raised in Japan. Anime is more popular here than it is in Japan. Why do you think there are so many anime conventions here? Your comment applies more for Americans, Europeans, etc.
