Quite a different style than the others zildjian live session but really interesting the fisrt time I heard that. I recommand you to check the Marcus Gilmore session, very melodious...

I suggested this too. Absolutely love this performance. Such a great fusion piece, so creative. Drums are stunning and that bass solo kicks serious ass. Knew you would enjoy it.

After the bass player took a solo there's a section right after that where he's playing the riff with the horns...THAT'S when I was impressed, hahaha.

So glad you're reacting to him, he's my favorite drummer of all time and one I've had the honor to meet personally and he's such an extremely nice guy, insanely talented and humble. I also have one of his signature blast bells and I love that thing lol

Check out a band called Marbin, it’s similar style to this. It’s like blues meets metal meets jazz. Amazing band.

I know Matt is a beast... With everything he does... Give a shot to the Danny Carrey video of tool playing pneuma... What he does with his body will make you drop your jaw also. Carrey uses tablas in a large kit, so it's not only rhythmic but also tonal drumming. Give it a shot.

he plays with august burns red. Its a metal core band. one of my favorites been listening to them since their first album. Also if you like the guitar with sax combo you should check out Intervals
