Still, there's too many good songs and not everyone can be pleased all the time. Angst would be a tremendous choice for the set list as well. 70k fans bellowing AAANGST!! Now there's a thought😉

Interesting that you mention Till's clear diction, and that it is something usually to be found among opera singers. To me, Rammstein are pure opera. Songs like "Mein Herz brennt" (piano version) and "Ohne Dich" are very reminiscent of the Kunstlied of the Romantic era (Schubert, Schumann... ). I even once read an interesting article by a rather high brow German media outlet about the similarities between Rammstein and Richard Wagner, emphasizing the Gesamtkunstwerk-idea behind their art.

After hearing this song, you now should know how to pronounce "Rammstein" as it came as a chorus ever and ever again. 😉 (Your first try before you started the video was quite correct.) In that concert (MSG) the keyboarder (Flake) started at the end of the song "Ich tu dir weh" with walking (right after appearing with a glittery outfit). 😀

Hello there. Nice reaction. German is a very bright, articulated language. That's partly why is sounds so harsh to non-german speakers. Plus Till Lindemann took 2 years of singing lessons with an opera singer, who herself was educated at the renowned "Ernst- Busch- school" in Berlin.

Regarding your statement about the rhythm, there is an interesting statement of the director in the making-of of Rammstein's music video Links 2 3 4. He wanted to cut the scenes in the right beat and the two guitarists and the drummer did not agree on what the right beat is. The song Links 2 3 4 (Live Bråvalla 2016) is also worth a recommendation.

In the music video for this you can see that Till had a piercing and he'd put the light through that. That didn't last long though, for the shows he does now its just done with a wire. They've been one of my favourite bands for 20 years and they've been together for around 31 i think. All with the same lineup too. Their live shows are amazing. Hopefully i get to go to more because who knows when they'll stop. Till is 60 and the rest are in their 50s.

No Wiener blut (Vienese blood) is not titled after a waltz, but after the story of a man on Austria near Vienna. (Wiener= from Vienna). He kept his daughter locked down in the basement and raped her for 24 years. It's not apologetic but Rammstein love to explore dark side of twisted minds.

According to your mentioning of "clear singing/clear vowels" That is a special kind of German = a classic pronunciation technique which is called "Bühnendeutsch/Stage German" which has to be trained as like as singing has to be trained and which was developed roughly in the 19th century solely for Theater&Opera performances (= the time when Theatre + Opera buildings started to become huge buildings for a huge audience) in order to get - clearly understood - even in the very back of a huge Theatre or Opera House .You have to take into account that there where no microphones and loudspeakers back then, obviously. By the way that is also the only reason why he rolls the "R´s" that much... (sidenote: even Hitler used that technique for all his speeches at the Nazi rallies) But no native German speaker speaks like that in normal life - or in other words - the German language in general doesn´t sound like that/doesn´t have such a tone like that respectively..only exclusively on stage such German pronunciation is heard.
