Saw them live yesterday in Belgium, Europe and they performed this song. The solid riffs, the otherwordly voices, the fire, the cathedral of light...absolutely breathtaking!

The thing they left out that the audience sang was "und die Welt zählt laut bis Zehn" (and the world loudly counts to ten)

The female voice is that of Bobo, a friend of Rammstein. She also sang with Engel.

What most people perceive as a "female" voice is actually the keyboardist (Flake, pronounced Flock-a) using samples (called Lamenting 6, 7, 8, and 10) from the music library Symphony of Voices by Spectrasonics.

If you ever watch the official video for ‘Deutschland’, you get to hear the piano version of this song at the end. Although played on a piano, the ‘vocal’ synth line is much more distinct (as it is on the studio version of ‘Sonne’). It’s rather beautiful, and has been performed by the piano duo support act the last couple of times I have seen the band on their European Stadium Tour.

I was at this show right at the front. First time seeing Rammstein live. It was unbelievable.

This song is the reason I started listening to metal. Saw them live couple of times, just......WOW

I always thought that high part was a vocal, but the track isn't that loud on this live performance. The official music video is really something to behold. A twisted version of the Snow White story. The guys in the band are all coal miners, then one day a giant, beautiful woman shows up in their home uninvited, and makes them pamper her.

One song I discover very late from them is Seeman, I think you will love to hear it, such a beatiful song!

They often add synthetic voices/samples to their songs. Sometimes you won't even notice it. That's style and raffinesse. Listen to “Zeit" or “Deutschland" ! There they did it very well... 😊👍

There are metal symphonics with choires that make really epic versions of this with an actual female vocalist pulling it off 💯

It's quite funny. A fairytale with a little different spin than you know. Btw the song originally was written for the boxer Klitschko. He loved it, but kindly declined to be played when he enters the arena. Too rough. That's why there is counting in the song. With love from Germany

the female voice is a keyboard sample from the "Symphony of Voices von Spectrasonics". rammstein is using is alot using such samples not only from this library. in one song for example they are using samples from the game "doom". if you are more interested just gather more information. you know there is something called "internet" where you are able to find such information. nice reaction. greetings

The wierd sound is Flake. He's a master of finding wierd samples that should have no place in a song and making them fit.

Hey.. They left out something they sing on the studio album... They sing, "And they count loud to ten" (roughly translation), as in a boxing match, since the song is about a old DDR Heavy weight boxer,. "hier kommt die Sonne" means here comes the sun, its a synonym for when he hits his opponents, they saw the sun because he hit so hard .. this song is insane with the latest show, there are sooo much pyro that the bottom of your head are getting very very heatet up..

I have seen many reactions to this song from music teachers or vocal coaches. They are all music teachers, but none of them knows the theremin; one of the first electrical instruments. Curious. That this case is synthesized.

for now all charges has been dropped, and lithuanian police has quit the investigation.. and aparently none of all those who has been in the news, or been talking about in their blogs has gone forward, and actually put in a police charge on him.. so seems its starting to fade out again.. (at least thats the last thing i heard here in Europe)

No, the prosecution says there is no evidence of this. No victims were found. I never believed it.🤗

Listen to the original instead of live, the "female voice" and especially Tills voice which ist really bad in this live version ist much better
