I say this all the time, this man single handedly revived and saved the band CHICAGO! And they weren't appreciative of it because they felt it wasn't Chicago but it was! David gave Chicago what they would sound like in the 1980s and he achieved that big time!!

I love David Foster's confidence and honesty. Yes, you could view him as "arrogant", or "cocky", but he just strikes me as someone who knows who he is, what he wants, and is willing to do what it takes to get it. There's nothing wrong with that. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion and will tell you what he is really thinking. That's why he's been so successful. The world is full of phonies. He isn't one of them.

I appreciate David's heart and his recounting of the story of the 5 year old little girl who needed a liver transplant, and how his gift of an airline ticket meant the world to her and her family. Bless you, David Foster. We just made it through a second kidney transplant for our only child, Julian. He's 16 now, and his first transplant was at age 3, and he and my husband returned to AZ in October from Stanford Children's where they had been for 4 months. David has written/produced/performed amazing songs and worked with amazing people, it his clearly his gift and strength, but it is his heart for transplant kids and their families that makes him a rock star in my book.

My top two disappointments- Sly Stone (meth head when I met him in Detroit in the late 90’s) and Robert Cray (totally restocked his wine fridge on his tour bus at my expense!) One of the very nicest guys - Jimmy Vaughn (gave his entire rider to the stage hands! Booze too!) and an honourable mention goes to Bob Babbit (RIP) - the only possible replacement for James Jamerson! A prince of a man!

When they recorded I will always love you they might be right about the third verse wrapping aroound, but saying that he mistakingly grabbed Linda Ronstadt's version is a understate to Linda Ronstadt. That was the only version he knew and what inspired them to sing it. The way Whitney sung it is exactly the way Linda Ronstadt sung it. Despite of no singing the third verse, there is a huge influence from Linda Ronstadts version. Not much from the original version by Dolly Parton. I think they should give some credit to Linda Ronstadt too.

I don't think you meant to use the word "ethics". Just a fact that two thirds of married couples get divorced. Are you seriously saying two thirds of all people are UNETHICAL? And then when you add the show business component, the figure goes up significantly. Rich and famous folk know they can always "upgrade", and they get bored easily. Is it commendable behavior? No.... but it is human nature.
