@@robertwheeler9703 If you're new to weight training try not to overdo it. Then as muscle soreness and fatigue isn't too bad you can increase load (weight, reps, sets, exercises). Progressive overload is the name of the game but you can't all go all out from day one. Also Nutrition is key for recovery and reducing soreness. Aim to have 4 - 5 meals a day with at least 20 to 25 grams protein each meal as well as having a source of fast digesting carbs after training like sweet potato or rice crackers.

having doms every time doesnt mean you had a good workout, another reason to get doms is to have the muscles addapt to the new movement that wasnt got used to it, thats the reason anyone working out for first or after a long time more likely to get doms, even some one working out for long time include a new excersice into their routine get doms from that newly included excersice, doms is like condidtioning of muscles

I’ve been lifting weights On and off from age 16 (I’m 40), 4 days ago I got a folding workout bench from amazon and I finally had a decent chest workout (after years of doing mostly push-ups) with proper form but went high reps because I only had like a 15 minute window; well Ive been in pain for days now (today the pain has eased a bit). I should’ve gone with lighter weight and lower reps, but I was so eager to start lifting again. Be careful and be patient, allow your muscles to heal and workout again, this won’t happen again if you workout regularly.

I think using magnesium l threonite supplements before sleep helps. Foam rolling definitely helps. I also use silicone cups on the site muscles, it's like a massage. Massage is good, and I have found using arnica gel on the spots helps a lot too. Nutrition is vital and sometimes a salt bath has helped me. I'm three weeks into training as a newbie and less DOMS now thankfully. PictureFit, thank you for yet another adorable video! 😊💪🏽😻👊🏽

The reason I got interest to excersicing is because I use my phone all day and sleep 8-9 hours at night and 1 hour afternoon. So at my first day I used all the energy of my body after a 2 hours the back part of the lower legs, lower part of armpit, and arm hurts. So the next day I decreased the time of exercise, it worked it didn't feel very worse like yesterday but the pain is still there. Today is the third day so I think I'll go easy to my body first I'll just inform if what this guy said does work

Something my gymnastic coach taught me is to take a cold bath (it doesn't have to be freezing cold, just a little bit above room temperature) for a few minutes until you are used to the water temperature. Then, get out and take a warm/hot shower. It works miracles! I did a bunch of parkour stuff yesterday and I am about to do this trick!
