Murder In Montana: The Case Of Lori Bray

Ойын-сауық

On September 30th, 2019, just before midnight Lori Bray clocked off from her job at the local casino and headed home. A few hours later, her boss was driving into work and saw Lori's car on the side of the road. It looked like it had been abandoned... the sunroof was open, things inside were broken, and all her belongings were there... some of which were covered in blood.

Unfortunately, you cannot ever let your guard down, you cannot give or get a ride with a stranger, you cannot trust anybody you don't know. This was so tragic and senseless. And 35 years isn't nearly enough.

Sexual predator was on the prowl. So sad that Lori was the woman who was too kind to say no to his pressure for a drive. I hate how these killers get to spin lies to save their hide from prison. And I don’t think his sentence was severe enough. Justice system needs to value women more. A kind, loving woman was brutally taken from the world. A scumbag loser POS gets to stay. Couldn't agree more! I've heard far too many cases of women being s.a.'d and their violators being given barely any time. 6 or 7 years! While people convicted for selling drugs get life sentences! It infuriates me. And where i live , rapes aren't even investigated. Thousands of rape kits sit on the shelves. Never even been tested! Agreed!! It made me so upset when he lied about them having a relationship. There should not be any mitigating circumstances when someone is murdered because the murderer usually lies about the murder. In the case where it's extremely obvious there is a mitigating circumstance, then it should be taken into consideration, but all excuses should be scrutinized since most killers lie about why and how they killed.

Also, I suspect that he just would have waited for her to get off and attacked her and forced her into her car if she hadn't offered him a ride (since there was no security). He'd been trying to get a woman alone in a car all night. He wasn't going to be denied.

Stop telling woman how to 'avoid' rape and murder and start telling men to not rape and murder! Seriously, why are still having to say this!? It is NOT the victim's fault. Stop telling women how to behave, dress, whether they should drink, or whether out of the kindness of their heart's they shouldn't be nice to strangers. From what her friends and family say, being a kind, caring, and trusting woman was a huge part of who she was, and it should not be used to blame her for what happened to her.

As for the methadone in her system, I'm on a drug for bipolar that can give false-positive results in drug tests for methadone, so it's quite possible she was on similar medication. Although the commenter eb disagrees, I believe that people who foster pups and love their animals, that see the good in people and get SEVENTY friends and family to immediately search for them are VERY GOOD PEOPLE. Lori was someone that I would want to be friends with. My heart is with her son, grandchildren, family and friends. My only son was murdered in 2020. If that were the case, everyone about to "go to jail" would confess. But they never do. The judge never saw it in 40 years. Their lawyers would never tell them to do this because they automatically appeal. For whatever reason, he did something very rare.

There is a reason and that reason is because it’s POC on white crime which happens often but is almost never reported as POC on white crime. If you want another example that most don’t know about google the couple in Tennessee that were tortured and murdered by black thugs. Warning though because what happened to the young whyte couple is so disturbing that you might lose sleep over it. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Selfish, heartless and disgusting, there are too many men doing things like this. Do they realise they are an actual person? That she deserved to enjoy her life as much as he did? That she doesn’t want to feel fear and pain or die the same way he doesn’t? That she didn’t deserve too? That to put someone through that is sad and unfair? Do they not think leaving her to live her life was more important than a short-lived thrill? That she was someone’s daughter, mother, sister and they had no cause to take her from them? I pray he suffers, I really do.

As just wrote elsewhere in the comments, he was an opportunistic psychopath/sociopathic predator. This is someone who can play a game of politeness to the outside world but rotten to the core on the inside. Can be any gender, and it's important to be careful to know a proportion of people out there are like this, although thankfully, they're a minority.

I live near this area. The towns surrounding Laurel are infamous for crime and unsolved murders. I cannot find anyone from America to take on the myriad of cases in my area. Between the "suicided" and the "missing Indigenous", it's a disconcerting situation. The case of Jalen Williams, a young black man found deceased - naked and deeply wounded on the backside of his body (as if he were dragged), is just one of these cases. I got Krime with Kait, out of Canada to do an hour long story on him, but we need more coverage. This case took place in Livingston, MT in February 2023. Thanks for this great work.

@@jameskennedy2464She was very attractive, but that turned out to be her undoing in that particular job. Alone & with no security, she was a sitting duck for prowling wierdos. Bad job choice, and bad choice of attire for being alone late at night. Maybe a bartender's uniform and a security guard would have been necessary at that kind of late hour.
