This looks like CGI I would expect 20 years ago (it almost looks like what they did for Liz in the Sopranos after the actor died).. With the advancement in CGI technology and facial tracking, this scene is underwhelming. Of course, this is not entirely the VFX teams fault. Im surprised Grant Gustin’s Flash didn’t appear in the scene. I’m also surprised Ezra Miller’s brief cameo in the Arrowverse was never referenced or acknowledge. I figured it could have played out like this; during Bruce Wayne’s explanation about time travel and the multiverse, Barry could have mention how he briefly once somehow came across a totally different another version of himself in a different world. Then later when all these other worlds appear; Grant Gustin’s Flash would have been the first of the cameos. Ezra would see him first and recognize him as the other version of Flash he once encountered and that would register to him that he is about to see window into all different worlds.

Anyway this scene is my favorite 😍

The idea of not putting Grant Gustin - or hell, even John Wesley Shipp - in this moment is literally inexcusable. There is no excuse the filmmakers could come up with that would ever make sense. I mean, Ted Sears wasn't even the REAL Jay Garrick. It's just so weird. And I don't care how fake it looks, seeing Christopher Reeve and Helen Slater together with the Williams theme - yup, they pulled on the ol' nostalgia strings, and nope, I couldn't give two shites. I've never understood why a little fan service is a bad thing anyway. Feels like snobby film fans farting that crap.
@TheFakeJake
2 ай бұрын
@@leonavuto make things worse, it wasn’t even Teddy Sears’s likeness in this scene. They used the editor of the film, Jason Ballentine, to make a CG face, so you ended up with a Jay Garrick that: 1. No one knew at first if it was Teddy Sears or not because it didn’t make any sense. 2. If they DID recognize that as Teddy Sears then they would know it’s NOT Jay Garrick. What’s even more mind blowing is that TITANS have a cameo to Grant’s Flash about a couple months before this movie came out. They had no excuse. There’s NINE SEASONS of footage they could’ve pulled from, and they could’ve easily superimposed both Grant’s Flash and John (as either Jay or Barry) running together in this scene instead.

@applescruff1969

The original script for Superman Lives (the movie that had Nicolas Cage as Superman) had Superman fighting a giant spider at the end. The producer of the film, Jon Peters, wanted it in the film for whatever reason, so despite going through several drafts, every single version of the script has the giant spider in it. Also, here's a fun fact about the spider: Jon Peters later used the same ending for the 1999 film Wild Wild West, where the villian of the film has a (you guessed it!) giant mechanical spider, and the movie ends with the protagonists destroying it.

Even though The Flash movie has bad CGI (I'm worth a cucumber) I loved it a lot and it's undervalued ❤ . This scene about the Multiverse, different lands and paying homage to the entire legacy that DC has made several years ago is magnificent : - From hearing it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Superman (from the George Reeves version) - a phrase from Adam West's Batman and in the background with the laughter of Cesar Romero's Joker . - Jay Garrick (my favorite character) - Nicolás Cage was able to play Superman and fighting against a giant spider was magnificent . - and obviously the stellar star the return of the legend Christopher Reeve's Superman accompanied by her cousin Supergirl who are finally together and it was beautiful 😭💙 . Anyway this scene is my favorite 😍

@@eduardo_coliyes it does man. It’s outside of reality. Literally everything in the chronobowl is uncanny. That’s the point. The movie makes it pretty obvious. It’s just been weaponised by those who have not seen the movie.

I loved the sentiment, the implications, missed opportunities. I could even rationlise the CGI 'choice' as a hypereal representation of quantum possibilities limited by mortal comprehension (rather than lack of time and money). It's just after all that, he ends up in the Nespresso Batman Universe.
The scene in this movie that made me cry. I grew up with Reeve and Slater.
I know in alot of ways this is offensive and obscene to use them but.. They're respecting them. It's homage to how they crafted and shaped the universe with who THEY are. Christopher, Nick, Adam, it was just nice to see them acknowledged and respected.

0:21 I thought I believe it was a Arrowverse cameo with this speedster that I believe was Hunter Zolomon a.k.a. Zoom. But I think I believe it was actually an another alternate universe version of Jay Garrick a.k.a. The Flash.
@TheFakeJake

That was a common theory, but it’s actually incorrect. The actor believed to be in that shot was Teddy Sears, who did play Zoom pretending to be Jay Garrick. However, the person in this shot is Jason Ballentine, the editor of the Flash movie, who’s never been Jay Garrick before, and will never be again.

It's amazing that they included all the OG actors, even the ones who are no longer with us ❤
The Godzilla Minus One VFX Team showed at the world that we don't need a "mega-production" money to make a "real" experience. I hope Hollywood undertand this soon.
I kinda imagine Reeve's Superman saying something like "Hey Kara, you seeing this shit?"
It would have been great if they added cameos for Christian Bales Batman and Robert Pattinsons Batman.

When they showed Christopher Reeve standing, that made the three sittings it took to get me that far worth it! So much nostalgia at once. And then they threw in Nicholas Cage 🤷♀️
I don’t really understand why people aren’t getting angry over the fact that they are using dead actors with CGI. Really disrespectful to them.
Everyone can be pissed at me if they want, but I actually don't mind how they pulled off all these cameos. The Flash is one of the greatest films I've ever seen.

0:59 where's Adam West's Bat ears.💀
How is the Flash's Jay Garrick in here but not Grant Gustin?
George Reeves was murdered. He actually cared enough about the children who were fans that he quit smoking as a result of not wanting them to see him that way. He cut the emblem from his uniform and send it to sick kids in the hospital. He was also slated to return as Superman and to take a turn at the helm directing. I doubt it was suicide. I think he was murdered by his drunken fiance, Leonore Lemmon. I hope he's at peace and that he's at peace with never being forgotten. I do wish the CGI was better.
This whole thing is stupid, but it’s pretty awesome that they included the giant spider from Kevin Smith’s Jon Peters story

Christopher Reeve's cameo really hits the same feeling when Tobey Maguire returned as Spider-Man.
You know the close up planet images reminds us personally of one of our out of body astral projections we had some years ago
i like how nobody talks about the fact that jay garrick is from 1940s superman universe. in his chronobal we can see 1940 superman
I was glad to see them, even with bad CGI. But did Superman (Christopher Reeve) and Supergirl (Helen Slater) actually just stand there and watch their universe collide with that of Nicolas Cage’s Superman? Wouldn’t they have done everything they could to prevent that happening? In the original Crisis on Infinite Earths comics, Supergirl even died trying to save Superman and her universe from the Anti-Monitor.
Did that look like Teddy Sears playing Jay Garrick Flash at 0:22 just like he did in season 2 of the CW Flash?

I also grew up watching Chris as Superman and always wanted to see Chris and Helen together as super cousins in a movie. That part always made me smile. Thank you to whoever made that movie as a tribute to Christopher and other actors who have passed.
Dc take notes from Fast & Furious 7, some Star Wars and others with good CGI. They could've use a regular body of a different actor then CGI his and her face into Reeve and Slater This is a kick to the balls, especially for our childhood Superman
this scene was awesome!
Grant Gustin,Lynda Carter,John Wesley Shipp all should have had cameos,it was a perfect opportunity to throw in Yvonne Craig Batgirl,maybe even the Batgirl from the canceled movie,personally Nicholas Cage shouldn't have made an appearance since there never even was a movie with him,and for as long as his scene went.....so many missed characters

Personally, I'd ave had the whole multiverse cameos scene go down like this... George Reeves (Superman) Jay Garrick "Flash" Christopher Reeve (Superman) Helen Slater (Supergirl) Adam West (Batman) Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) Dean Cain (Superman)
Superman (1978), Superman II, Superman III, Superman IV: The Quest For Peace and Supergirl (1984) are canon on Earth-78 only the events of Superman Returns never happen on Earth-78.
They look more like early PS3 renderings instead of actual people lol.
The most soulless scene in existence. It’s equivalent to a picture show. There’s nothing meaningful about these cameos, they’re just soulless husks that expects you to clap at them. Doesn’t help that they decided to puppet a few corpses around for this scene.
Wow. Everyone looks like a circa 2010 computer game character. Bravo.
Keşke daha iyi görsel efektlere sahip olsaydı. Christopher Reeve'i daha gerçekçi görmek isterdim. Bu şekilde bile oldukça duygusal bir andı
