But the cape also saved him from a giant fall and allowed for the sneak attack in the first place. Yes, it would be better if he had jet boots or something, but he also has to inflict fear using the image of a bat, so it actually evens out for him.

From what we are aware, before Gunn took charge of DC, it seemed like this movie was setting up more DCEU movies featuring Cavills Superman, Gadots Wonder Woman, Keatons Batman, a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie, etc. Let's say Gunn didn't take OVER DC, all the DC movies came out, including the Flash, but all bomb (which of course really happened) where do you think we'd be today? Would everything be scrapped or DC would proceed with their plans?

I really appreciate how different they made the Keaton Batman and the Affleck Batman. For Keaton, it really does genuinely feel like they took the 1989 Batman and put him in this one. His fighting style is more stiff to reflect the differences in the suit. Even the way he walks is the same.

I cant believe it took me this long to realize this never happened in man of steel because a lot of them were taken to the phantom zone because of the army, Lois Lane, and Clarks spaceship. This movie also shows just how strong Clark and Zod were during man of steel

It also proves that only Clark/Superman had the power to defeat Zod. Zod hadn't even been exposed to the Earth's sun against Kara like he was in MOS and he still was able to defeat her.

@@andrewvincent7299 I think that was because he was a combatant which is also why he was able to go 1v1 against Clark as even tho Clark wasn't a fighter yet he had the training in his powers especially in his strength and speed that Zod didn't have but Zod had the training in fighting which Clark didn't have making it such a back and forth fight. It's pretty cool :)

It's interesting to me--and completely consistent with his character--that while this is Zod's first encounter with a speedster, he doesn't have a moment of shock, wonder, or even curiosity about him. He doesn't even spare Barry a sideways glance... ...Come to think of it, they missed a GOLDEN opportunity to echo a certain shot from Justice League... ...Anyway, my point is that Zod is focused so completely on his mission that even something as wondrous as the Flash is nothing but an obstacle in his path, and is disregarded as quickly as it's removed. And it's interesting to see a villain be that incognizant of the movie's titular hero.

One of the best things about Zod is and to further your point... Dark Flash has clearly done these 2-3 minutes MILLIONS of TIMES and Zod has NEVER killed him... He only has been accidently injured which in turn gives him more powers as the Kryptonian armour can pierce and kill the Kryptonians... It is also clear that Dark Flash has mastered his powers somewhat as he bound Barry with that purple lightning... I also beleve that this is an inevitable intersection and regardless of what Barry does.... Supergirl Batman and the Earth dies... Regardless of how many times he goes back in time...

Seeing Michael Keaton's Batman fighting a kryptonian was so cool. I just wish we got to see him meet Superman. I mean, we would have never thought of him being part of a universe connected to Henry's version, but it would've been cool to see him meet Christopher's.

While I think the 3rd Act is where things start getting cluttered, I do like how they do an homage to _The Time Machine._ Where they try to keep going back in time to save everyone and they still end up dying, which I think captures the sense of hopelessness that the _Flashpoint_ comic had. Also, that line when Barry says "I can bring you back" and Keaton's Batman says "You already did". That line honestly has so many meanings. Such as bringing him back initially with his time travel, bringing him back to being Batman when the world needed him, and kinda being meta towards WB bringing Keaton back to give his Batman one last hoorah seeing as he never got one.

@@cutiepie6796 Their planets and biology are completely different and clash with each other. A Kryptonian just being on earth is why they're able to do what they do, irrespective of the sun. Kara was trapped underground for years with no sunlight and still has enough power to be bulletproof and effortlessly fight off those soldiers at insane speeds. Exposure to the sun is what gives them the abilities that let them take flight for example. But just on their own they're the equivalent of gods compared to normal humans by just BEING ON earth. So yes while they don't inherently have powers, their biology compared to earth's atmosphere and human biology is lightyears ahead.

Me too bro. It's especially noticeable because the entire scene takes place during daytime. The lighting makes everything looks artificial and gives it an uncanny feeling. People butthurt by your comment either have some very special fandom glasses on or haven't seen well used CGI.

One particular reason why this movie is an epic fail

Gotta say, they did Keaton's Batman much deserved justice and did the sequences of Supergirl and Batman getting killed in a very exciting and entertaining way. I loved watching the invasion scene in the theater along with Batman and the Barry's breaking out Supergirl.

It was just great to see my childhood Batman again on screen. Loved it!!!

Why is this entire film an uncanny valley?

All I know is I love Batman

This Supergirl is the one that needs her own full on 3 picture deal

Yeah, she was really good. It would have been great if they stuck with the plan of incorporating her into the DCEU along with Henry Cavill's Superman.

keaton's back hasn't been the same after he carried this entire god damn movie to the box office.

Say what you want about this movie, it had LOADS of really enjoyable moments. I think a lot of people are hating on it because of Ezras personal life or just because everyone else is.. which is not how to critique a film IMO

People are definitely only heavily focusing on the CGI or Ezra as a person. This was a good movie. The action scenes were good, the emotional moments were all nailed, and it got a good few genuine laughs out of me.

I disagree. Granted, the action they show is shot and directed well. It's the action they've omitted that's problematic. More specifically, Barry-1 comes out of the Speed Force, tells Batman to pull up, and then we don't even see him again until he's cradling Batman's body, almost four minutes later. What, was he just watching the whole time, fretfully wringing his hands like Olive Oyl, while Batman is fighting a nine-foot-tall Kryptonian? This is an action movie. It's act three. And he's the titular hero. This is THE time for him to be on camera and doing something, and yet he is neither.

I was actually shocked they didn't make her into a Mary Sue and speaks of Superman in a condescending way. I was so worried they would something similar to the Supergirl TV show but no they didn't. In reality, the movie makes it apparent that Superman was vitally important in defeating Zod and his army.

Yeah, it really was. They screwed the landing with the George Clooney Bruce Wayne, the pointless Aquaman post credit scene and essentially finishing the DCEU on a stupid note. This should have been a farewell to the DCEU and all the Justice League members should have had a moment with Barry as a farewell to the fans.

People talking about how Batman took down a kryptonian giant without much prep time, not knowing he had plot armor with him. That giant is probably a 10 or even more times faster than batman, no way batman can just place bombs on him and evade his attacks...

Mark my words , people will come back in a few years and be saying they like /love this movie … it was a good movie with some bad chi for 60 percent of the movie ….. internet just like to jump on the bandwagon until there’s no bandwagon then they can finally have an opinion

I enjoyed this movie and Batman and Supergirl made this movie great. The cameos of all the other heroes were good as well.

A lot of the CG in this is unforgivable

the running is weird, but maybe they are running that fast that instead of blur we get a weird zoetrope-like effect of slow motion running

The team behind the film and Ezra himself basically wanted The Flash to act like an athletic ice skater, and a bit of Hermes. I get what they were trying to do, but it's not executed well. I personally prefer how Flash runs in the animated material and video games.

Keaton Batman is rizz incarnate

Just watched it and it was very good and I’m a Marvel fan so not sure why it bombed, I do wish it would’ve came out before Justice League setting up the Flash character but as somebody that grew up watching the Christopher Reeves Superman and Michael Keaton, George Clooney and who knows about the Nicolas Cage Superman I really enjoyed the cameos!

The cgi is... weird but after finally getting around to watching the movie i was pleasantly surprised with it, i really enjoyed the movie. Would love for some type of 'special edition' with the cgi fixed here and there but whatever, the strange cgi didn't take me away from enjoying the story. I really liked the simple explanation for time travel and alternate timelines and whatever, it was simple and easy to understand. And i loved the very final scene with the other Bruce Wayne... nice lead up to the future of the DCU.

Director nailed batman in this movie. Good he will direct batman for James gunns DCU

Sasha Calle, did a beautiful job as Supergirl. 2:10, this will always be my favorite scene of Supergirl!

The Krptonians on here reminds me of the skulls from metal gear solid

Jim Gordon becomes Batman in different comics books till Bruce Wayne get reincarnation and become a college professor till he remember his old life. But hey he can read Batman 89 comic books it continue off Keaton Batman I was just saying don’t read the comics because it’s also different versions where Batman dies

It was a really great and fun movie. Despite what Ezra did, it didn't deserve the hate or to bomb in the box office. I don't like ANY of the post ZSJL DCEU movies but this one was great. I'm going to buy it on Blu-Ray and add it to my Snyderverse/DCEU collection.

Zero prep time and he still manages to almost kill one .....that's batman

This is one of the very best of so many attempts to bring back geriatric 1980s heroes. Batman is movie magic and a 71-year-old playing him convincingly is a movie miracle but they pulled it off.

Batman may have known they where gonna lose..so why not go after the biggest Kryptonoin! Such a Batman thing to do! Wish batman had a bit more planning time and Kryptonite. Imagine Kryptonite in batman's weapons!

I thought two speedster in the same area couldn’t activate the Speed Force.

this is why batmans my favorite.

And that is the bat shaped charge.

How are these dudes travelling at light speed and communicating through something that travels slower than most airplanes today.

The one thing this movie got right is the strength of Zod.

Not even Michael Keaton could save this movie.

Would've been cool to see him use a kryptonite weapon against the Kryptonians while wearing the IronBat suit

Given that Michael Keaton's Batman in his elder years was able to stand his ground against Kryptonians, imagine the insane amount of damage he'd dish out in his prime.
