Don’t forget that’s just the host for fate and majority of the time the drain of him possessing them is what causes them to die he’s too powerful for the human host.. hence why most of them can’t access his full power

Never say never. If we're getting a Booster Gold movie (which I can't wait for), then I believe we can get a Doctor Fate one. Or at least have him as a prominent character in the new DCU.

Dr. Fate was the best part of the movie, Pierce Brosnan was the perfect cast for Kent Nelson, he fullfil the character with a charisma not usual to see in other media (talking about Fate). When I saw that he was going to fight alone Sabback, I also yelled as Hawkman; kill him in his debut wasn't a good choice, but I understand that the actor is not that younger to continue portraying the character and didn't want to compromise himself for to long. Let's be honest, if it wasn't cause the movie is about Black Adam, Dr. Fate could take by his own on Black Adam and Sabback; my boy was just nerfed (as almost always).

This one scene is better than what I saw in BvS and Justice League. I hope they use this group in another film. Perhaps utilise them more. The duplication bit was cool with little Dr Fates grabbing Black Adam and then putting him in a choke hold. Like something out of JoJo. I like his armour as well. Shame this version of JSA is not utilised more.

I know! As if Dr Fate's potential wasted in Smallville wasn't nerfing enough.

I loved that this particular design it's so slick and he looks like hes truly made out of ethereal gold also i like that the helm dosen't have any eyeholes, it shows that the helm is truly guiding Kent and thus he doesn't need his senses he just needs to trust fate.

@@stefansauvageonwhat-a-twis1369 hate break it to you too Young Justice version was kind of terrible, the whole possession thing is a retcon from the new 52, up until that point Nabu was more of an advisor/tutor to the wearer of the helm. The writers came up was the possession thing specifically to give him an easy weakness ( removing the helmet) Dr.Fate isn't supposed to be a Lord of Order, he's supposed to be their mortal agent

I still like what they did with him, all the other doctor fate non-comic media ive seen portray the same kind of possession, even this movie says it but doesn't show it. @@stefansauvageonwhat-a-twis1369 I dislike it because it ruins Nabu's character and his relationship with Kent and MASSIVELY undermines anyone who wears the helmet ( especially Kent) See originally Nabu acted as more of an advisor and magical database and the original relationship with Kent was amazing. When Kent was a child in the 1920s, he and his father discovered Nabu's tome in a Egyptian pyramid, and in the process of waking him Kent's father died and so Nabu chose to adopt and raise him and train him in magic. Years later Nabu realized he had been in a mortal body for too long ( at this point bin the continuity Nabu could just make a body for himself if he wanted) so he convinced Kent to " kill" him so he could ascend back to the plane of the Lord's of Order but he then realized that a( he cared for Kent too much to abandon him and b( the mortal plane needed a defender so he created the helm so he could be bound to the mortal plane long -term and advise and augment Kent's own magic. Obviously that's just the origin story but you can see what changed, post-recon the wearer becomes an interchangeable meat suit and Nabu becomes an emotionally distant automaton and Fate has an instant weakness ( remove the helm ) and developing magic as a field of study or skill is non-existent now.

Sam Neill would have been a great Doctor Fate, but I agree Pierce Brosnan was perfect for Dr. Fate, I'd love to see Pierce Brosnan back as Dr Fate, he deserves his own Solo film, he was definitely the standout member of the JSA and the best thing in Black Adam, the movie should have had more Justice Society of America members, here's the members I would have put in Black Adam: Dr. Mid-Nite (Will Arnet) Stargirl (Emma Roberts would have been my choice for Stargirl) Hawkgirl (Paula Patton) Jay Garrick's Flash (John C. McGinley would have been cool, but u would've wanted John Wesley Shipp ,😉) Hourman (Leonardo DiCaprio) Wildcat (Sylvester Stallone duh) Mr. Terrific (Wesley Snipes) Wesley Dodds' Sandman (he's probably going to be the hardest casting choice 🙄) Citizen Steel (Andrew McCarthy) and Red Tornado (Android) (I think Stanley Tucci would have been a great choice) I would have go as far to even put Crimson Fox in this movie (although she's not JSA, she's Justice League Europe: I'd have Either Juliette Binoche or Julie Delpy portray an older version of Crimson Fox since the character is French and Crimson Fox is a set of Twins: Constance and Vivian D'Armais and both those actress are French and are criminally underrated)

Doctor fate is not the person, but the helmet. You become Doctor fate when you put on the helmet. Kent Nelson died but the helmet went looking for its new wearer.

The best part about this movie honestly. Would've loved to see a prequel on just Dr. Fate alone. Pierce Brosnan gave the character such gravitas

Even though he was only in one film, he's already on par with MCU Strange. Imagine Fate stayed for a while and they'd given him his own series/film exploring his origin and future in the DCEU. He'd definitely surpass Strange.

Pierce Brosnan/Doctor Fate really stands out in the movie. The character is given justice, being one of the strongest heroes/magic users in DC comics. The powers and cgi was executed well throughout the movie.

Need to bring this character back he was exceptional

Not just his power and ability but also his Suit was cool asf...

I like how his magic looks more sleek and solid in contrast with Dr. Strange which is 'powdery' and more fluid, the usage of using the color gold makes it look more appealing.

I love how smooth they levitate unlike current MCU, Dr. Strange

Fate is an omnipotent god only nerfed by the fact that his power is unstable in our realm and can only be channeled through the helmet. I know Black Adam is strong but come on, Fate could take down all of the heroes and villains in this entire movie at once while drinking a cup of tea

I really LOVED the VFX and SFX from DR. Fate.

Dr. Fate needs to be in more movies and shows he's been one of my favorite characters since Justice League Unlimited.

It was great to see a live-action version of Dr. Fate, even if in a flawed film. Always my favourite member of the Justice Society.

Dr. Fate is one of the most OP characters in the comics and he got nerfed big time. I think he'll make a return as I don't think they really killed of Kent.

It infuriates me that you think he couldn't, Nabu possessing the wearer wasn't a thing until the new 52, his original role was as an advisor and magical database for the wearer, specifically Kent and they originally had an adoptive father-son relationship. Nabu trained Kent in magic from the time he was a kid, he didn't need the helm to use it, the helm only amplified him

He was the best thing about the Movie, and he was the standout JSA Member I was a bit nervous of Pierce Brosnan's casting as Dr. Fate but man he blew me away, I would love to see a Prequel Solo Movie on Dr. Fate, he deserves one, he's one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC Universe, The Members of The JSA i Think they should have put in are: Jay Garrick/Flash, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman, Sandman (Wesley Dodds), Red Tornado (Android), Stargirl & Hawkgirl, shame we never got Dr. Fate in the Arrowverse, although seeing The Easter Egg where his helmet in The House of Mystery in Constantine TV Show was awesome, it really does beg to ask is Kent Nelson dead in The Arrowverse? and how the heck did The Helmet end up in John Constantine's Possession, Matt Ryan's Constantine should've put the Helmet on that would've been insane I also think Actor Sam Neill would have been a cool casting choice for Dr. Fate, my only issue with this Incarnation of Dr Fate is the helmet (no eye holes and its showing u one of his ears) 🤔🦻🟡

Comics version Dr. Fate would take down Sabbac without breaking a sweat.

This is great cause that means Dr Fate will likely have another movie because of the transfer of the helmet to someone younger with magical affinity. That also means a likelihood of other DC magic users and Zatanna is always the one to go to. I really like the way they did the effects here, haven’t watched the movie but if the writing is any good I hope WW3 will have some of these effects. WW still seems barely that powerful compared to her comic versions and I hope to see her be stronger than what she has been shown so far, Superman is closer to his “average” self but still could be a bit stronger particularly with his heat vision. Batman is just right though he’s never as difficult to create as the other two

You can always count on the big 3 to have their movies, I just hope when they eventually make another WW movie that her villains get cooler and it wouldn’t hurt to give her even more magical weapons just for effect at least
