Fab interview, I’ve always found Touker to be one of the “warmer” Dragons on Dragon’s Den, so it’s lovely to hear him speak outside of the Den and have it affirmed. Very strong opinions but he delivers them in an incredibly calm and measured way.

Well done to you and your team for getting an interview with Touker arranged. It's the kind of rare wisdom over many decades that very few podcasts manage to get or even want to show. I hope he gets to share more of his lessons to a lot more entrepreneurs across the world. Much respect for the man.

The problem with Tuker’s outlook on inflation is that although goods from the Far East are reducing, retailers in the UK are NOT willing to pass this reduction back to the customer and as such, this becomes the new norm.

Wow, what a journey! It's truly inspiring to hear how Touker has navigated through various challenges over his years of experience. Given his extensive experience and success in the world of entrepreneurship, debates often arise about using debt and equity for funding. I'd love to know: What factors guide your decisions in this regard?

Your right! Touker's journey is truly inspiring! When it comes to deciding between debt and equity for funding, there are several factors that entrepreneurs and business owners typically consider. For me, entrepreneurs should consider their long-term goals for the business. If they have a clear vision of growth and believe that giving up some ownership will lead to greater success in the future, equity funding might be preferred. In some cases, a combination of debt and equity funding might be the most suitable option. This can help balance the benefits of each while minimizing the downsides. Ultimately, the decision between debt and equity funding is highly individual and should be based on a comprehensive assessment of the business's financial situation, growth prospects, and the entrepreneur's personal preferences and goals. It's often a good idea to consult with financial advisors, mentors, or experts in the field to make an informed decision.

@@RobMooreDisruptors It's funny you should ask - like Touker I'm involved in the cycling industry and also experienced a downtown this year. Fortunately pivoting into other product segments was possible to help compensate, but it's been a lot of legwork. After some relatively good times, it was a lesson learnt not to take things for granted and accept a new reality when times change.

A heart warming and honest conversation. It was useful to learn about the governments influence on business and remedies that could help stimulate growth. Another thing was what you said before, with this example of how this man didnt essentially change character due to success. The encouragement and welfare of others being important even if not hard business. There were many points but the last ones I will make is how he talks about adapting to the market, being flexible and strategy.

Great job on getting the interview. You should consider chopping up some of the segments into smaller clips. The section about the _Ghost London_ deal and how Procter & Gamble tried to snatch its fragrance division behind Touker's back definitely needs to be its own clip. I've listened to or read most of Touker's interviews before but that part was brand new to me. I might recommend some timestamp spans in the reply below for what you should consider slicing out.

At 27:10 he's wrong to say that interest rate rises won't affect 18 to 35s who rent rather than buy because if they're renting off private landlords then the rents will rise in order to cover the mortgage interest rate costs. Interest rate rises affect everyone unless the owner of the property has no mortgage.

May I also recommend changing your video title to: _Millionaire Touker Suleyman Reveals Dragons Den Secrets & Being in Business 50 Years_ When you have your guest's name at the end of the title, most people may never see the name to be incited to click on the video. I went through some of your interviews and noticed most of them have the name in the beginning but some have them at the end, and some of them don't have their name at all, which is inconsistent IMO.

It was facinating insight. But I think Touker is out of touch with the retail landscape. The high street has been decimated and we've seen a lot of store closures, especially like Wilko's. The retailers that are still standing are offering cheaper prices online, rather than the ones in store, so that means people don't have to actually go into the high street that is also a factor in the decline of the high street. If you were going to incentivise entrepreneaurs and landlords of retail properties, why don't central government allocate money to local councils where they can give wannabe entrepreneaurs a chance to apply for a small grant to set up thier business and then they can pay it back after a short space of time once learned enough profit to pay it back and draw up short lease contracts that can be tax deductable for the owners of the premises, for which the businesses would like to trade from. At the moment, every where you look, whether it is in the high street or the shopping malls there's empty vacancies everywhere.
