This sounds like a noob question but when your taking off and putting your wheels back on do you just use your impact drill that’s it or do u tighten them more with a torque wrench ? Thanks!

Cameron Hartline I try to use the torque wrench as well as the drill, but sometimes I just use the drill. No issues so far.

@@DrHorsePower no problem, I had an RT6 speed and I thought my shifting was half decent but then I realized I could’ve been better so now I’m in an eight speed auto banging gears like that is a talent for sure !

NICE CONTENT!!!!! I’m not sure how much harder it is to with a 6spd Challenger but with my stock Daytona 392 on 315/50/17 Mickey Thompson ET Street R’s the lowest 0-60 I got was a 3.6 on the street. I don’t have a track here in Hawai’i so I make due with what I have. I also didn’t use launch control. I launched at 2000rpms and floored it off the line

DDG392Daytona a 3.6 is REALLY good! Especially for a stock car. Yeah these 6 speeds are a bit slower. Thanks for the support. It really helps the channel

The borlas sound awesome man, and was wondering if they are the atacks or S-Type. We were looking at those as well as the corsa extremes for my Challenger, but decided on SLP loudmouths and replaced the restricted factory system from the cat's back. They are really simple and basically consist of high-flow open chamber racing bullets on 3", and deletes the reso's. So they are a lot like straight piping, but better because of the increased diameter and flows so much better than stock did. I've been looking at the MTs online at jegs, but haven't decided which ones I want yet. Do you know if the compound of the R is softer than the SS is bro ?

Krazy SRT8 The crazy thing is, this exhaust is the factory exhaust. The borla mufflers I bought we’re just the mufflers (Pro XS) but are no longer on. So I’m running SW long tubes, no cats, no mid muffler, resignators still on. Super simple set up but sounds good.

Krazy SRT8 The compounds are the exact same bro, the ET Street R & Street SS both run R2 compound. Only difference is the tread. SS is Wayyy better for street driving. I’m doing a video soon comparing the Street R but the bias ply version. These use a M5 compound. Wheel are here, just waiting to put them on.

That was a good comp, and helps me to make a decision on which ones to get for my Challenger SRT8. Think that l will go with 315x50s, and should finally be able to hook. I'm still deciding between the SS & Rs though, and both have their advantages. What pipes do you have on your scatty, it sounds really good and like it 💪🏼😎

Krazy SRT8 Glad I could help! I prefer the R if you’re planning on doing a ton of digs. But for roll racing and driving as a daily, definitely the SS. Honestly, it’s the stock pipes. I bought mufflers but they aren’t on the car anymore. The sound came from the cam & longtube setup

@@DrHorsePower @Clutched 392 oh okay, I didn't know that you had those things done to it and see why it sounds so good now. Yeah it's not a daily and wouldn't have to drive it in wet weather, but there are times that I like to go on road trips up north in the high country and could get cought in a storm. I think you said that the compound is the same on both tires, and the SS should be a good option all-around if so I'd think. I'm not a super racer and at the track every weekend, but like to go on occasion and also do a little street action sometimes as well. So do you think I would be disappointed if I got the SS bro ?

@@DrHorsePower After you warmed themed them up a bit on that last run, the SS did pretty good from a dig as well and look like they would work on the strip to though. I was originally going to get the Rs, but then after watching some of these vids think that the SS will work pretty decent on the strip/street both and would be a good all around choice

They are great tires. Did you have any problems with rim fitment together with brembos on the 17s ?

Krazy SRT8 Nah, they cleared the Brembos, but unfortunately didn’t fit over the end links. I ended up purchasing a shorter set. If you haven’t yet, please check out my video on the end link install

corvettebiker1 Nah, the ET Street R tires belonged to a friend, so I didn’t wanna eat them up, but I did a pull with The ET Street SS tires after heating them up. The results are at the end of the video.

@@jasonloera3358 That’s exactly what I would recommend as well. If you don’t want that route, I’d say NT05 in that same size. But the MT SS are better.

Yes, the rear are 10.5” wide so they would hit the end link when the car was jacked up. So I installed shorter end links and was good to go. I have a short video showing the rubbing & installation.

Clutched 392 Maybe try the Toyo 888 Rs against the Mickey Thompson SSs. The Toyos worked great on my 600 RWHP Terminator. I’d try it but it’s pretty hard to get a consistent launch with a Terminator.

@@DrHorsePower only thing that sucks about the r888r if you’re on a small wheel, they don’t make big tire sizes. Ex. 15 inch. Tallest they made for a 15 inch is a 24.4

You’ll be able to do it on the Rs for sure. I didn’t try in this video, no burnout, full tire pressure, used the crappy launch control, etc... it was just for comparison purposes.

Can literally see the stability control coming on. Turn everything off and then try the test

jkoolii yes I had traction on bc one set of tires didn’t belong to me, so I didn’t want to wear them down. But you’d get better numbers with traction off.

Ernest Major I left them both at full pressure (32 psi) and did not heat them up. So numbers could’ve been MUCH lower

Pretty solid numbers. My best is a 3.1, but that was on a prepped surface. I wasn’t really trying in this video bc I didn’t wanna burn up my friend’s tires. So I left full psi and didn’t heat them up

It’s just pre settings in the car from factory, as I said in the video. I just left everything “as is”. I know not to launch that high if I want to get best times. This is an informative video simply to see how both tires hold up to certain conditions... smh
