It’s pretty easy tbh, just placing a fiber line onto existing lines. From what we called “MST” or I call them magical box’s to the house. Either buried or aerial.

In the aerial video at 1hour 2min is the ONT mounted inside

I used to run coax rg11or rg 6 but never 700 feet long

I actually explain at that time in the video I'm taping it so the wind doesn't rub a hole in the other drops im passing by.

My ISP said they could run fiber to my place, but I’m 1100 ft away from the fiber case, and only the first 500 ft is covered by installation costs. The remaining 600 ft they’re going to charge me $300. Does this sound about right ?

I know they would make us do it no questions asked. 2000ft is on our spool we carry and they just don't want us to go over that. Every company has thier own custom charges. I would pay $300 in a heartbeat, since I pay $80 /month for 40mbit now. Hopefully this year they finish some fiber they ran last year out by me.

@@naturallyrootedgrowers you’re right. I don’t even know why I’m debating it. I live way out in nowhere, and they just happen to be laying fiber right along my property line. They said they’d hook me up. I’m using fixed wireless right now, and the quality could be better. Just doesn’t seem stable. I’m going to get fiber, I want that ‘hardline’

There was a MST tap about 150ft away, but full, corporate dont like jobs going down, and I already drove there so Im gonna get my money. Job pays per length also

I like your idea, but why not just unspool while placing it on the line. Yeah it’s a 700 footer but it would definitely be easier to do it that way instead of getting it over the line with rods. I was an aerial tech for 2 years. Fun times

I usually did carry the shorter runs , but these longer ones get so twisted with they arent unwound in the wheel motion.

@@naturallyrootedgrowers ahh alrighty! Mind me asking. Do you know what one needs to become a subcontractor to another prime subcontractor. I’m working for one right now but I wanna get rid of the middle man and work for the prime subcontractor myself. And yes, we are doing work for a ISP.

@@addictiveclips10 Usually they need you to be a subcontractor team owner and not by yourself. Most companies dont want to babysit each tech individually, for the charge backs / issues , you would have to check with your current managers of the inhouse and see who to talk to

i suppose that would work. I use a softball tied to pull string for trees. but it would tough with cars being close like this
