Great board at $160. B660 Tomahawk atx version $190 for three m2 slots and extra usb 3.2 port good choice also.

@@jayrajgor18 All running well! Set CPU LITE LOAD mode to #5 for lower CPU temps! (: (CPU lite load is present in MSI Boards in BIOS) by default I think it was either 9 or 12

@@ZealousPumpkinTV brother I'm planning of it on samev13600k with b660m mortar mobo with deepcool ak620 cooler Not into overclocking at all, will be using at stock but the mobo will handle it right if sometimes due to my pro long work loads it might run at 100% load for long hours & I believe otherwise it'd be all fine for gaming

@@jayrajgor18 idk about long hour loads at 100%, I only game and stream with my pc, I live in a relatively hot country in the caribbean, about "CPU LITE LOAD", search it up, it's a feature in MSI Motherboards that can be found in the BIOS that basically undervolts the CPU for you, The lower the number the better temps you should get without decreasing too much performance, it goes from mode 1 all the way up to mode like 20 I dont remember well but you can search it up, I use it at #5 and after gaming generally temps do not go over 75C, I have 4 fans that go up to 2000RPM if needed, also a corsair h100i pro xt rgb 240mm Cpu cooler. didn't really test too much the temps with lite load set to Mode 9, I just switched it to Mode 5 and it's been well, my fan curve is when the CPU temp reaches 75C (My cpu cooler goes 100% fan speed) I think the same with my case fans. it will get hotter though starting in february or march but so far so good.

Can I put a notcua nhd15 and does the come with a bracket

what budget cpu cooler would you recommend other than the stock intel one? great video btw!

b660m mortar vs mortar max ... whats the difference ?

Hello, I have a question, how to output 5.1 sound through the spdif connector on this motherboard? I have in the settings for some reason only 2.0 sound. In the bios settings, surround sound is enabled, the latest version of realtek control is installed.

You might have good luck using MSI’s Dragon Center. It usually allows all the motherboard features to be used. They get ya that way

i am trying to use this motherboard with the i5 12400f and i was looking in pc part picker and it says there needs to be a bios update should this be something i should worry about?

Nope, not at all. I used the 12400F with THIS exact board here! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iaeh2LeYgdO7Ys4.html no BIOS update needed.

Sadly, still using ALC897 low-end audio codec. 😪

God yes on io shields. Literally when I saw mobos with them built in I thought "I'll totally pay an extra $10-20 to not have to mess with that."

Unfortunately there isn't one, you will have to take it to a shop to get it flashed for 13 generation.

You’ll need the drivers. They can be downloaded from the company’s website. But you’ll need to plug into Ethernet to get them.

No, you always need drivers. Sometime windows will install them during updates. Depends on the board or component

Yep. That happens sometimes with micro ATX boards. You sacrifice features, the smaller the board gets
