That’s an understatement. That therapist pissed me off so much. A man getting a bit too violent in a self defence situation, or even just people being dickheads and teaching them a lesson, (sure, sometimes he’s way over the top) Is no where even CLOSE to the same as a man feeling angry in general, then projecting that anger onto his own helpless children, and partner, THAT LIVE WITH HIM EVERY DAY IN FEAR. As a therapist myself the fact the therapist saw them both as equally violent men fuckin disgusts me. Not saying the violent father doesn’t deserve help, in fact it’s more important he gets help! But holy shit that therapist is just disgustingly lacking understanding, perspective, and awareness. I am aware this is fiction, but I’ve seen real people like this. The professional in me hopes the best for them all, the darker egotistical part of me wished Ray bashed the violent father AND the therapist. Disclaimer: don’t be violent towards anyone unless it’s self defence please. 🙏

ray doesn’t have anger issues though? he never has, the whole thing that got him here is he bashed a guy who was being a fuckwit to his daughter, only other time ray lashes out is at his girlfriends brother, which i can agree with over reacting, but definitely not undeserved. Both times Ray has been antagonised and pushed to do it by people who think they’re tough and can take anyone. Idk about you but I feel like that’s very, very different to people who take their angers from work and previous trauma out on women and children who can’t defend themselves. There’s a big leap there and ray has a point, what Ray did shouldn’t have him in that room specifically, they should have rooms for women/child beaters and a seperate one for people who get into fights. Putting a rough n tough rowdy guy in a room full of pathetic alcoholics who punch their kids is asking for a fight to break out.

@@erikandersen3274 nah bro. if someone is rude to your little child daughter and your reaction is not to want to bash that person, you got some issues. that would be less understandable and human than bashing that person. especially so, when someone is rude to a kid dude, i mean like, wtf? it´s a kid and a grown man that is rude to such a kid has to get an attitude correction.

@@localhozt750said like a man with anger issues. For the record I do have anger issues 😂 Dress the man down let him know that was lowly. You don’t potentially kill ppl for poor manners. Well.. I would if you would be *THAT* rude over telling your kid to bugger off over something or winning something from them in what is effectively a *game* of get the gift you want. Losing something as trivial as a candle could’ve been a nice teaching moment. Instead she knows to punch ppl who don’t give her what she wants.

Part of me does too, but it ended GOOD. That doesn't happen often with shows these days. I say leave it be. But I'd love to see the actor do more projects

People initiating a fight, and you defending yourself, buuut going a little too far during said “defence”, is NOT even close to the same as having a bad day and projecting it onto your OWN helpless children and your poor bloody wife, who have to live with you, in fear, every day. As a therapist myself, I have to say that therapist is a complete idiot. Yes I know it’s fiction, but therapists like this genuinely exist, and it genuinely irritates me. Such a lack of perspective, consideration, logic, understanding and already compassion. If anyone reading this is seeing anyone that can’t see the stark difference of situations like these, or similar, please, run, find a better therapist.
