@@Mitch-wc9zx fair enough chap but most Aussies I’ve talked to has no idea what show I’m talking about … and then they watch it and love it.. like I did.. and it was a friend in the states who got me onto it.. yeah maybe under rated wasn’t the best way of putting it I’ll change it to the best unknown Aussie show ever… that work? 😉

Just re watched this gem of a series for the 5th time. I think when Freddy realized he needed to move on from Ray was when Ray barged into his family's house and went ham with the scatter gun. That incident made it easier to go along with Rafael and lure Ray and Dave into the ambush. I'm glad Ray didn't carry out revenge on Freddy that night. He just let him know that he survived and was going to be around, forever making Freddy look over his shoulder. Most shows are checkers. Mr Inbetween is chess.

Freddy got a pass, because he killed his cousin and scared his extended family. (He did think they stole his daughter's friend at the time.) History plays a role, friendship plays a role. The last look his gives him says he gets a pass ONCE.

If it makes it easier, Scott Ryan said he was ready to move on the character. It's rare for someone to choose that path, more often than not, they try to milk it for all its worth until it's ruined.

@KaiLthbrok he's freaking brilliant. I get it. It's just ending on a cliffhanger like that with me having no idea it was a 3 season series and done, I went 2 whole days where, in my brain, there would be a season 4. In essence, season 4 existed, then when I went to look up when to expect it, I was crushed. I still haven't figured out what demmies are. And I'm crushed Freddie (who I LOVED in justified, now there is an impressive bloke) betrayed him. So much expectation denied. But hey I'm thankful he gave us all he did. Was an excellent show. Have already watched half the eps a 2nd time

There were so many great lines! I don’t think I’ve ever had a 30 min show give me more emotions than this one. And to think I thought it was just about a hitman and his job! It dug so much deeper and I enjoyed every second! Hate that it ended.😢

@@sonhadvar6832 Yeah, but that was only because a child was kidnapped after that person threatened him with knowing about loss. Freddy bringing him into the club knowing what happened with his brother is on him, put him in the crosshairs. In any case, he sent Ray on a two man job as a set-up, meaning he was likely to get one of his friends killed along with him, imagine if he took Gary instead. But getting Dave killed had no foundation in Ray’s transgression, that Dave died and Freddy lived is an injustice.

@@RagnarokMic Ray knew Freddy was going to end up getting his by those other guys he owed money to. Freddy was never going to come up with all that money. Ray not doing it is better for himself, less on him because of all the years they did have together. What happened to Dave was awful and an injustice, and we all know Ray would have loved to have gotten Freddy back for that, (plus other things), but I think the way Ray ended it was perfect cause he knew it was only a matter of time and it probably wouldn’t be quick.
