Actually, the 1st movement begins at 0:22

The pianist and conductor are having the time of their lives!

People who feel good about themselves produce the best results. This is probably--and thankfully--the only performance of the Piano Concerto 21 on KZread where the conductor and the pianist show so much joy on their faces.

Truly captures Mozart’s sense of improvisation. This rendition is elegant without being stately.

I have heard many excellent performances of the K.467 concerto, but this is one tops my list. Exhilarating, youthful and almost mischievous; I imagined Mozart himself at the keyboard. The first movement cadenza was the high point of a brilliant performance.

I agree with you 💯 in every word you said! This is truly a magnificent interpretation of Mozart‘s 21st piano concerto.

This is joyful and I did recognize Mozart toying with us a bit

The three best piano concertos are this one, the Grieg and Rach 2. All have exquisite second movements. In this concerto about 5 mins in the contrary motion passage is absolutely sublime.

This is one of my best beloved piano concertos and I have been long waiting for your own interpretation, so bright, so brilliant and radiant... and now I have it!!! And I can feel (again, as always) all your vividness, your vibration, your truth, while listening to your sound and staring at your smile - and I say Thank You, dear Ignas, for these inspiring moments you offer to a lover of music. And, congratulations for your Cadenzas!!! A deep and great "thank you" for the Maestro and the Orchestra, as well ! You are perfect, all of you!!

Thank you very much! Cadenzas are not mine, the 1st one is by Bart van Oort, and the one in the 3rd movement is by A. Winding.

Imho mozart's best concerto. He's absolutely magical in c maj (and d min). Excellent performance - no over romanticized. Virtuosic speed, clarity and volume.

Absolutely exquisite performance Ignas, your enjoyment shines throughout, and your personality reminds me of the great composer himself! Added to that, the conductor is smiling continuously, and this contributes to the overall experience. Mozart was a complete genius, and he is beautifully represented here. Well done Ignas, you truly are a gifted pianist.

An inspired interpretation of the piano concerto of the great and brilliant Mozart is an endless river of happiness, joy, peace and harmony. . .A heartfelt thank you to Ignas Maknickas and the wonderful orchestra for an invaluable gift for fans of their amazing skill !

Terrific performance! I love the communion between musicians and mostly, I don't think I have ever seen a conductor with such a big smile! It feels like together with the soloist they're sharing a great story! It goes a long way in the music! For only one thing I'm sorry, though, that the angles of shooting weren't too mobile so that it would show different instruments playing in those little dialogues. Would have made a wonderful educational resource! Otherwise, I will anyway enjoy it for my selfish self!

I watched this video so many times recently, and become a fan of this talented pianist. Ignas is exactly a new Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I believe he will be a shining star in the future. Why I can’t find his music in Spotify and iTune? :(

It is a shame Mozart died so young, will lost out on a lot of his compositions, we will never know what he could have produced if he had lived in to old age.

Absolutely stunning! As a listener, and here a viewer also, to see you to seem to have so much fun playing this music. Your body language, your smiles, seeing you take the satisfaction (I think) in showing us your full poetic, dramatic technical brilliance. I could watch and listen to this a thousand times and never tire of it. If Mozart were there listening to you play I know he rush to hug you at the end and congratulate you. Thank you so much. You are young and have so much musical pleasure to give your audiences. Bravo!

Reading ‘Poland’ by Michener and in this chapter the characters attend a performance or this Concerto in Vienna with Emperor Franz Joseph in attendance. This music ages well…

Amazing interpretation! One of the best I heard. It's wonderful to see how you enjoy being part of the music. Your virtuosity is unique. I would like to know how you choose the cadences since Beethoven's cadences are the most common to listen to, and the ones you interpret require extreme virtuosity and speed. I’d prefer 2d movement playing a bit slower and pianissimo, then it feels like you watching at a fluffy white clouds floating at the blue skies. Incredible feeling!

Misère, à 19'55, est arrivée une pub envahissant toute l'image et je n'avais pas supprimer la pub visuelle mais ... Franchement KZread doit être vraiment très pauvre ...

La première pub à 7' (plus ou moins), la seconde à 14' 30 et après vous ne subissez qu'une pub visuelle (mais si vous la supprimez, alors vous devez subir une 3e pub... Quelle agression , KZread est si pauvre que cela! Zina gémit doucement, elle adore le piano ...

Soyons précis, la pub visuelle n'est arrivée qu'à 14'30 (juste dans le bas de l'image) ...
