Mozart Group: The counter to Russia's infamous Wagner Group mercenaries

A former US Special Forces commander has set up a military training centre in Ukraine aimed at passing on his, and other veteran's, frontline experience.
The ex-US commander Colonel Andrew Milburn was the first US Marine to lead a Special Operations Task Force during the war against the so-called Islamic State and is now set on training Ukraine's Special Forces in the military skills they lack.
Col Milburn's called his organisation the Mozart Group - a counter to Russia's infamous mercenary firm, The Wagner Group.

Haha. Yeah, Wagner Group is run by a Nazi, and Wagner (Hltler's fave) is what German Nazis played in concentration camps as they gassed and cremated their victims. For many years you could not play Wagner's music anywhere in Israel because of the association with all the suffering remembered by concentration camps survivors.

Vagner - the composer was a German nationalist and anti-Semite. Mozart was just Austria. In reality it's sad . Because before second World war Vagner was just composer , but the become the favorite composer of German Nazim. The military Vagner group in Russia isn't discussed , though most of us know that they are mercenaries of Putin's cook. They are famous as " butchers"

Yeah. The job's not done 'til it's finished. i remember being told many years ago about a place that was under siege (pre - modern warfare) where the attacking army tried for days, but couldn't break the too well defended fortifications. But the defenders got too cocky and sure of themselves, and when the attacking force broke, and retreated, the defending army came out and chased after them, but it was a feint, a trick, and when most of the defending army was outside, the "retreating" army turned on them, attacked and defeated them, and took the town. Never act on impulse.

  • @OutnBacker

    2 жыл бұрын

@@Gospodin_Kurac Not true. Soviet/Russian doctrine has not changed much since 1945. That is why they have such huge numbers of mobile armored weapons and missile artillery. The Soviets perfected the Blitz, learning hard lessons from the Germans. Zhukov, of course, already knew the game - and destroyed the Japanese in the east years before WW2. The failure to execute properly in Ukraine is puzzling to me, but in the future, I believe Russia will fix whatever happened. As to the US: American doctrine is based upon the defense of Europe by layered lines of resistance to what it perceives is overwhelming Soviet/Russian numbers. This is what the Soviets did to the Germans at Kursk. Since the implosion of the Soviet Union in 1989-1991, NATO has aggressively moved into eastern Europe. The US offered NATO membership in exchange for UN support for the Kuwait War and for the War in Afghanistan and then Iraq. As an American, I thought this was shameful, and I understand the Russian position. However, the US does not seek territorial gains per se. It rents its bases from the host countries, and tries to get its service members to obey local laws. No American junta forces Germany or Japan to obey Washington DC. There is a difference between invading a foreign country to fight a threat to America and actually colonizing. America never was a big colonizer when compared to other empires or nations. Aside from a few islands and the Philippines, the US pretty much stayed out of world power politics until after WW2, when world power was forced upon it. There is a preference among refugees in the world. When trouble strikes, they don't flock to the Russian embassies. They run to the American embassies. I don't denigrate Russia, but they are not the kind of country that has done very well for them selves - much of it is not their fault. Their history does not have western democratic traditions but rather, royalty, then a 5 years period of a failed parliament, then a violent and destructive revolution that killed millions of people - many of whom were the very types who could have launched a great future for Russia.

It’s great that there are still people with this level of military experience training the volunteers and much-needed service personnel in Ukraine with these techniques. Glad they are doing it during the cycling out of the fighters so they can just keep coming back better and better trained. We need to get as many trained and veteran fighters over there to help with the training as well as fighting as possible. We aren’t exactly short on that right now. I’m surprised though they said there were approximately 5000 foreign volunteers in the Ukrainian foreign Legion. That must mean then a lot of the rest of them must have joined other Ukrainian volunteer units to help in the fight, as I thought the number of foreign volunteers who had gone over was much much higher than that!?
