I listened this mozarts music so much during my childhood, especially to this piece. As it often is in life as well as music, after a period of exploration, where I listened to more modern music I am now once again listening to mozart. This man just had a musical intuition unlike anyone.

Me too. I still had the CD (mozart, chopin, vivaldi, beethoven, bach and tchaikovsky album set) and my most favourite of mozart music is Serenade no.10 in B-Flat major

The melody starting at 12:52 is one of the most beautiful ones ever written IMO

Second Movement at 6:00 (Romance) Third Movement at 12:08 (Minuet and Trio) Fourth Movement at 14:12 (Rondo)

One of the most easily recognizable pieces of classical music

How nice to listen to this after a lengthy period of abstinence. Originally coming from Austria, where it is naturally "overplayed", it was good to take a little break from it. Now it crossed my path and I am enjoying this lovely rendition with "The Academy" under Sir Marriner very much. Thank you Gabriella ... and kind regards from Canada !

It was Originally written for String Orchestra or String Quartet so it can be played both ways, really flexible this way

My mother used to listen to this piece a lot while pregnant with me. I did not know and when we talked about Mozart at school, being impressed with this piece, I looked through her vinyl records and found it. When it started playing, my mother came and told me, that this was the piece she‘d always listen to when pregnant with me

Cool. Der Abi-Jahrgang meiner Schwester hat 1984 dieses Stück in Schlafanzügen und mit Nachtmützen auf den Köpfen in der Aula bei der Abschlussfeier aufgeführt. War ein cooler Abi-Streich. Da sah ichs zum ersten Mal live und seitdem steh ich endgültig drauf.

Исполнение хорошое, даже очень, на мой взгляд; видео автором подготовлено отлично - вообще без нареканий; ну а музыка - как можно не любить эту серенаду? Вы чё, народ, какие дизы то?! Вот и вопрос: кто же эти 37 несчастных... Мне кажется, мир скоро будет унечтожен метеоритом, если так пойдёт дальше... ;=)

I always thought that the rhythm at 1:02 was reminiscent of the opening of his 25th Symphony.

I think the combination of Finale and Photoshop is perfect!

***** secondo me, ma è solo una mia idea, i terem quartet si sono permessi quella versione solo dopo averlo suonato mille volte secondo i canoni che sarebbero piaciuti ai puristi. insomma era solo un omaggio e non una cosa irrispettosa...quindi credo anch'io che Wolfango avrebbe gradito:)

oznecinquantotto Anche per me non sono irrispettosi, ma io di solito non metto tanti steccati fra i generi e se serve a far conoscere di più un brano di secoli prima, ben vengano le interpretazioni come la loro... poi non tutti la pensano così, ma è normale che ognuno abbia le proprie idee a proposito:)
