Moving opportunists away from Lae city's shops

Ойын-сауық

Following the looting and ransacking in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, opportunists in other centres tried to capitalise on the division between the police and government. The situation was a result of K7.3 million deductions from public servants' salaries. In Lae, however, the Royal PNG Constabulary, PNG Defence Force and Correctional Services joined forces to prevent the destruction of properties.
