Mountain Of The Troll - Be Aware

The history of trolls in Norway is deeply rooted in Norse mythology, where they were depicted as mythical creatures inhabiting the forests, mountains, and remote areas of the country. Trolls were believed to be powerful, often large and grotesque beings, sometimes portrayed as dangerous to humans, while other times they were depicted as more benign or even helpful.
The tradition of naming places after trolls in Norway is a fascinating aspect of the country's cultural heritage. Many of these places are found in remote and rugged landscapes, adding to the mystique and allure of the Norwegian countryside. These names often reflect the folklore and legends associated with trolls, serving as a reminder of Norway's rich mythological past.
For centuries, stories of trolls have been passed down through oral tradition, shaping the cultural identity of Norway. From towering mountains like Trolltindene (Troll Peaks) in the Romsdal region to deep valleys such as Trollheimen (Troll Home), the influence of trolls can be seen throughout the Norwegian landscape.
In addition to geographical features, towns and villages in Norway have also been named after trolls, further cementing their place in the country's folklore. These names not only reflect the mythical creatures themselves but also serve as a connection to Norway's ancient past, reminding inhabitants and visitors alike of the rich tapestry of legends that have shaped the country's history. Today, the tradition of naming places after trolls continues to be celebrated, keeping alive the stories and legends that have been passed down through generations.

You can definitely see that spring is on the way. The ice on the lakes is thawing, and the snow has gone from this area. The trees probably don't grow high up because there is a very little soil, too, but there are trees that grow in every crack where they can get a grip up there. Church and State are definitely mixed in the UK. The King is the head of the Church of England. But he only holds ceremonial duties. We don't have a Christian Party, but you can bet that at the right time, each Party Leader can be photographed going to Church, probably just for the cameras. Such a pity about the hiking shoes. They look like they still have quite a bit of wear left in them despite the fact they are falling apart. But yes, feet are important. Leaking shoes and damaged shoes will affect your feet over time. It is definitely the right decision to make. The views from the top, I can never get enough of them. Absolutely stunning vistas. Great drone footage, as always and a perfect spot for a cup of coffee. I tried to find Troll Hill on the map but could only find Troll Waĺl. Another great video, Martin. Thanks for sharing.
