I don’t know if you remember Brett, but that’s exactly what I told you a couple years back when we talked about lions turning off their scent. I think that on the back of their feet is an oil gland and that oil runs down the back of their heel pad. Once they get into that sneaking stance, it lifts that oiled area of their pad off the ground. Therefore it reduces their scent left behind. As far as the skin rafts and hair, I think that because they clean their selves so much, it reduces the amount of loose hair and skin rafts that have built up and there’s just less to fall off.
