Haha, I'd kill for a 3lb loss ATM!! You're going great - shiftwork is brutal, yet you still got to the gym, big respect! :)

Thank you! Keep at it deffo I think what I’ve learned is that my losses are random currently, they don’t seem to correlate to the amount of exercise I’ve done that week or even what I’ve been eating. I know they say trust the process but it’s difficult isn’t it 😂😭

@@AimeeMayMJ It is! If I'm still stuck on the same weight tomorrow I'm going to inject 2 5mg doses to see what happens! :)

Hi there, congrats on your Weight loss. I’m on Mounjaro for 2 1/2 months and I’m down 25 pounds. So thrilled about that. And my blood work keeps getting better every month. I was wondering how tall are you? I started at 203 pounds and now 178, 5’6 keep up the good work. I’m really lucky I have not had any Side affects at all…..✌

Hello, congratulations on your weight loss! and it’s really good that your bloods are getting better! 🥳 I’m 4ft 11 and carry most of my weight in my stomach so any weight gain is very quickly apparent in me, but I’m hoping it means that when I lose weight it will become more quickly apparent as well!

Hey Aimee, congrats on your 21 lbs weight loss. That is considerable. 🤩 And, if you’re having fairly significant side effects on the 5mg, definitely would not move up to the 7.5 until those mostly resolve. It sounds like your body’s still ‘catching up’ to the dose increase to 5mg. So jumping up quickly in dose again is just going to punish your body more. And there’s no need, considering you seem to be losing a good amount of weight on the 5. It’s not a race, and very rapid weight-loss actually has some nasty side effects of its own… stuff like gallstones (VERY painful), hair loss, pancreatitis, and more hanging skin than you’d have otherwise. 😢 So, be careful out there. And good luck. 🌟

Thank you! And yeah I am mindful I don’t want to max out the doses too soon, I think it’s easy to get fixated on the number on the scale and try and lose as fast as possible, but that’s definitely the diet culture that’s been ingrained in me think I need to take a step back and enjoy the journey more and not get impatient!

Hi Aimee! You look so pretty! Ya indigestion is real and random. I have it too. I’ve lost 22 pounds in 4 months. Have 10 more to go. Not hungry for food but getting cravings for sweets🥴 also really tired. My workouts are intense. Anyway you look great and keep up the great work! “Out Like a Light” 😁

Re your ADHD healthcare team: it might be best to tell them you are actively on a weight loss journey because one of the side affects of ADHD meds is weightloss. For those for whom that is a problem (ie no weight to lose) the healthcare team will look to trying different meds. It would be a shame to have your meds changed unnecessarily, but if they knew this was intentional, they won’t worry about it unless it gets too low / too fast. They would probably see it as a good thing that you are doing everything your end to improve your health, body & mind.

I’ve told them now I’m trying to lose weight but don’t think I’m going to explicitly mention Mounjaro 😂 it should be on my record anyway from my GP x

Oh yes btw no one except my daughter has commented on my weight loss either. Oh well, not doing it for anyone but myself. I’ll be my own validation.

Keep going! It’s always nice when people notice, especially when you’re putting such an effort in, but we can do it for ourselves first 💪

Understand that in the UK Mounjaro can only be prescribed for people with a BMI over 30 (27 for those with certain obesity-related health conditions.) What’s the plan for when your weight falls below the qualifying limit?

I think at the minute, if you are not getting it on the NHS and are paying privately, then the BMI rules don’t strictly apply. To my knowledge, you can’t get it if you are underweight or have started at a ‘healthy’ BMI, but I think that as long as your BMI met that criteria e.g. 30+ when you started you can continue on it as long as you are funding it until you reach a ‘healthy’ BMI. I’m sure I’ve heard some people say at Asda you can stay on it until you hit BMI of 23, but I might be wrong and think it’s different depending on supplier. It’s definitely something at the back of my mind I’m hoping more clear guidance will be out soon!
