Is the trolling motor fine without the use of a plate? What are Your thoughts on a quick release bracket after using it?

SHANK 1 I ended up put a quick release plate on mine because I wanted to use it on a different boat when I wasn’t using this one. It works great.

gwagb27 I really love the pinpoint but I’m not really impressed with the foot pedal response. It’s a 24 volt 80lbs torque.

I just got the same motor and mounted it on my Nitro Fish and Ski, my first time on the water with it I noticed with it over hanging like that I can't pull into the dock to pick up passengers like I use to with out the trolling motor potentially hitting the dock. Did you noticed that or have similar issues? Any solution other then being extremely careful or coming in with other side of boat which is not always easy depending on how busy the dock is. Appreciate your feedback, Thanks

That about all you can do is be careful with it. It’s the same with the Minn Kota motors also.
