India is such an underrated track, so fast and flowy even in F1. Why did they ever get rid of it

Apparently it was more an issue with taxes and provincial (maybe national) government. Someone saw F1 as entertainment and not sport so they wanted to tax the hell out of the event. The organisers couldn’t pay the extra fees to cover it. There was also an issue with customs. Ferrari wanted to bring upgrades in 2012 but they couldn’t get it past Indian customs which is apparently super complex.

@@nodafy Basically, all the good F1 circuits from 2010-2013 are gone. I really miss Yeongam in Korea, it was such an amazing circuit but the city that was supposed to surround it never came. I miss that circuit so much. 2010 Korean GP is one of the best races ever. At least Istanbul made a return for 2020 and 2021. I think that Bernie wanted too much money and Turkish government said no. And Liberty rather wants parking lots without passion. Valencia was a street circuit but it was pretty. F1 on a good day and a good circuit can really match MotoGP in terms of excitement. It is a pity that it doesn’t happen more.

Many things have changed in India, the government is changed and is very positive about the motorsports and recognised it as a sport, that's why we will be going to have the Indian Grand Prix again this year in Motogp, and they are in talks with FIM as well for hosting it in India as well, so we might see another Indian Grand Prix in F1 as well in the near future

I am glad the circuit is being used again. Though there was controversy even when it was on the F1 calendar. I remember there was controversy because Ferrari wanted to bring upgrades but the customs were so complex that they couldn’t bring it through.

yes bro that time f1 and moto gp were consider for an entertainment purpose not real sports but now it got changed so now there is not that much hassle or problems in taxes and customs in India hopefully we can enjoy more races in these tracks 🤞

@@phantom7039 I am glad to hear, it is a very nice circuit and people were showing up for the races. Because the circuit itself is brilliant, external factors were simply against it. I wonder if people would show up if F1 went there again? India could be a booming market. The heat should not be a problem because F1 races in Singapore which is just as hot.

Yeah because Ferrari thought it's cheeky to support their murderer navy officers by sporting their Navy's crest on their car. One of the based decisions taken by GOI there.

Indian track is very good

MotoGP should really post highlights after the race because more people will comment and it will be more popular across the algorithm. I can’t afford Videopass so I missed the whole season, having to read about everything in the news. I don’t even need F1TV to know what is going on in F1. They have highlights of everything. MotoGP forced sprint races but gave new fans no way to watch.

@@LastLapGod I am glad you agree. I really like MotoGP and I would love to watch more of it but if they make it so difficult, I won’t bother. I am not going to crawl to them. F1 has flaws but at least I can follow the season easily. Videopass is also twice as expensive as F1TV. If MotoGP doesn’t want new people to watch, then I won’t. It is their call.

This Circuit 10x More better that F1 Indian Grand Prix from 2000's-Mid 2010's.

@@IDoCommentsOnKZread moto gp was held in September the air quality gets bad during November, i remember there was late monsoon last year, the parking lot was muddy of the site i remember they used hair dryers to completely dry the race track you can find the whole event on the internet/KZread.
