Just leaving this here for the future: I installed new two new RAM sticks and had it going from 27 to 0d - the problem was dust that got trapped in the ram slots and prevented contact. I cleaned it out with the tip of a knife and got it working.

I had the same error with my new PC. I tried everything for countless hours. I even replaced every part expect the CPU (my replacement didn't arive at that time). What I didn't replaced was my GPU cable for my 4080. When I had 4 RAM sticks installed my PC would not boot. After installing the original GPU cable my PC booted. I wasted so many hours for this simple issue. I would never expect my new GPU cable to be the issue, because the PC would boot with 1,2 or 3 RAM modules installed. I read "every" forum and noone even suggested it could be the GPU cable. So thank you very much for that video!

This fixed it for me!! I wonder wth could’ve caused that to happen? I’ve had my pc for just under a year now, I dont understand how the pci cable could just up and die. Oh well, thank you very much this saved me hours and probably even money, thought I’d have to bring it in to get it fixed!

The issue is so random I am still not exactly sure why it’s happening. It happens once in a while without symptoms, when that happens I always have to replug my ram sticks, several times guaranteed, but keep trying would make it work at the end, I’m thinking it might be bad contact idk.

In my case i had the code 0d alternating with A6… A6 refers to SCSI devices, in other words initialising SDD or SATA devices. When i took out my SSD M.2, it posted and i could get into bios.

Thanks. In my case (Asus X399-A + Threadripper 1920X) it was in RAMs. After taking two of four out, it booted (it wanted to update settings in BIOS). After successful boot I've turned off the pc, reinserted the remaining two modules in other slots and it is running. Similar thing happened to me also with Ryzen 5900. :-(

Placed a new CPU on my mobo, now I'm getting this problem. Seems like one of the solutions is a complete disassembly of the PC. Another is to try booting with 1 ram stick. Another solution it seems is that your PSU wires have gone bad and need to be replaced.

I had the same issue. No lucky with changing the GPU cable. That I was done is: remove all memory sticks and CPU. Turn power on. The red led light on the mobo was lid. Press clear CMOS bios button at least 3 times. Put CPU again and all memory sticks. Problem GONE.

PROBLEM SOLVED! READ UPDATE! I'll toss ya a sub! I got the d0 code after a botched Win 11 update, computer comes on but won't show anything on the screen? I've been over to Toms Hardware and read some articles and everything I've read is saying its a dead cpu, or needs to be flashed, or the CMOS reset, others saying it could be blow caps (Gawd I hope not!). I'm taking the system apart and going to make sure everything is tight on PSU cable side of things, I'm hoping its an easy fix. UPDATE; 10.6.23 First let me thank everyone who assisted in helping me find a solution. I wound up taking my computer into a local mom and pop computer repair shop. I explained the situation and the next day got a call from Pop's, and he told me the problem was fixed. He got a splash screen and to the windows OS password screen. When I asked what caused the d0 error code, he said these error codes could mean anything? More than likely its a component, like the mobo, CPU, RAM, etc. He went on to tell me he did a complete tear down, removing all the components basically resets them, so they're not holding any power or charge. He reassembled everything and it powered right on and he was able to get into Bios, and on a reboot from there got to the splash screen and OS. Pop's advises that you do this first, do not flash your BIOS or reset the CMOS, that's a worst case scenario. It only cost me sixty bucks to have Pop's tear my computer down and rebuild it to get it working for me. Which was worth it considering I'm so busy at work I didn't have time to troubleshoot or work on it myself, sometimes its better to pay a professional because they have the time, tools, and know how. Please note, that if you try this solution, and it doesn't work, it is advised you take your PC to a professional, they have a fresh pair of eyes and may catch something you might have missed. I hope this helps others who have the same problem, and again, thanks for everyone who assisted and commented.

Yeah it's so annoying when all these guides say just try to reset the cmos, and all these other "simple" things which I get because it definitely could be something like that but in most cases where the pc has been fine for months on end and just up and poops itself its usually some piece of hardware thats reached its enevitable end sadly.

@@thetradingdragon Well I've checked all the cables like you did and that didn't work. I pulled everything apart and reassembled it to no avail. I'm thinking I fried the NVME hard drive on my board, or I bricked the board when the computer shut down on a Win 11 update. So I'm gonna tear it all down, flash the Bios to the previous version and reset the CMOS. If that doesn't work I'm gonna take the board and NVME into a pro shop and have it tested. This is gonna take some time but if I find a solution, I'll post it here.
